Squad Size

OK we've disappointed since the Fiorentina game but all-in-all it's been a good season considering the size of our squad, which brings me to the question ; has anyone got statistics on squad sizes for the other Premier teams? I think our's is about 25+ academy lads; not exactly large.

I thought we had this one already? Don't have time to locate it now... (Kick-off at the Emirates approaches...)

Outside the Big Four, the average squad size works out at 27 plus academy kids. All the top clubs have over 30 as do Spurs and Man City.

I see Moyes today says he expects to address both the size and quality of squad in the summer. Taking out the likes of Gardner, AvdM and Tommy G our squad has to be pretty small. Dealing with losing the likes of Vaughan, Cahill and Arteta isn?t easy. At least we know we can get rid of the above trio of hardly used players and replace them and achieve the aims without massively increasing the wage bill. Then hopefully the latter three will have more luck with injuries next term.
