WAGs influence on transfers

Something to watch in this transfer window. Have you ever wondered why a player who rarely makes the bench for a London club like Spurs, will turn down a lucrative offer to move to Newcastle, Boro, Man City, or going even further north to one of the big Glasgow clubs? Is it the influence of the players wife or girlfriend (WAG) that is the deciding factor? Any women with half a brain would rather live in London and go shopping in Knightsbridge, than live an isolated suburb of Newcastle or Glasgow. Besides it warmer down south! Rumour has it that Arteta's girlfriend has moved back to Spain, because she is fed up of Merseyside, and is putting pressure on Mikel to do the same. Mikel, tell her to do one! There are plenty of nice Liverpool girls to choose from!! Is the WAGs influence as bad as some, like Roy Keane, make out? I think it is, whats more important to a 21-year-old male? Sex or football?

Footballers used to be told where to go, but since the Bosman ruling and power going to the players, then yes I’m sure this is to be taken into account. But annoying as it can be for fans, the wife of any man in any proffesion will have a say. Are they to be kept quiet on where they live and children go to school and where they can pick up a piar of Jimmy Choos and get fake tans and be fabulous with other fabulous people? Shame on you for not letting any WAG spend fan’s cash anywhere other than the King’s Road!

Suppose it depends on the ’wag’ in question. If all she is famous/known for is shopping with HIS money and living a life that HE is paying for then she will go wherever the fuck she is told I would imagine, but if she has her own interests which could be in or out of the public realm then it doesnt matter where he plays she will always wanna be back in a location that is suitable for her....

Unfortunatly Mikels bird is a model/presenter/actor in spain, so she wont be happy in liverpool/manchester or anywhere in England!! I have been told that although his bird is a gonner, he is still gonna be here at the start of next season but for how long is anybodies guess
