Very bizarre little story. I used to work with a Russian girl in Tokyo whose Dad was a top level banker in Moscow so gets the VIP tickets etc.
I e.mailed her on the total off chance whether she had any clue on these 'Jo' and Arshavin rumours and I got the following;
"Seems like your team are getting two Russians -- Arshavin/Zhirkov. Also just read on somerrussian websites that you want 3 brazilians from CSKA Moskva". (Imagine that is JO/Dudu/Love??)
Anyway I asked her if she had any first hand news on Arshavin and Zhirkov etc -- she mailed back saying her father said next week looks like there maybe a transfer to the Premier League for Arshavin and Zhirkov is on his way too.
Thats all folks -- could be us/City or whoever but seems like we are in the mix for next week. Never heard of Zhirkov but he looks ace on youtube :)

Tim Vickery says:- Following the 2003 World Youth Cup win, the elegant Dudu Cearense was seen as the potential solution. He was taken to the 2004 Copa America, when it was evident that he was not yet ready. A career bouncing around Japan, France and now Russia has not helped, and he did himself few favours with an uncertain display against Wales
Like Carlos Alberto Parreira before him, coach Dunga gave every chance to Dudu Cearense (CSKA Moscow), an elegant passer who, it seems, is not comfortable playing so deep.
The sad fact is that Brazilian football is no longer producing this kind of player, which explains national team coach Dunga?s prolonged experiment with Dudu Cearense deeper than the more attacking midfield role he fills for CSKA Moscow.
Apparently he also said on 5live's World Football show that Dudu was desperate to join us (so says a guy in kipper).
So bored today xxx

Now he was great mates in the 80s with Bob Carolgees and Spit the Dog. It seems that Spit the Dog went for one of his big phlems in conversation one night in 1989 whilst they were out at their local Yates Wine Lodge and it sounded just like, "Everton to sign Deco".
Could just be a rumour, but you never know????

I think you should definately be crowned king of the rumour though. You’re all over the mail bag recently when it comes to transfers.
Are you Kenwright in disguise trying to lead us all down blind alleys?:-)

Had a really weird day if you?re interested which started off with a trip to the dentists -- telling me I needed root canal on a loose tooth (footie injury last Monday). Had 2 job interviews this afternoon so bombed it back home only to find that the room where my girlfriend has decided to put my work clothes yesterday (don?t ask -- women always move crap around) has locked itself from the inside.
As its a new condo I spent hours trying to find a key for the door -- which didn't exist and now need a) the key b) the clothes c) the job interview.
Welcome to Mark's world :(

A guys dad is a policemen who arrested a bunch of Latvians as illegal immigrants. They couldn?t speak English so had an interpreter present. After a while the copper starts chatting with the interpreter who says that Liverpool hire her to translate for Skrtel and Voronin and she will work for Everton in a couple of months to translate for Arshavin.
-- 2 problems, Skrtel and Voronin are from different countries and more importantly Latvia is part of the EU so they would not be illegal immigrants.

Mark - Keep up the rumours lad, its keeping my entertained & if we only got one of these I’d be made up.
Word on warning though, avoid root canal work. It costs loads & never works just get it pulled & spend the money saved on ale, Japaneese girls or whatever !!!

Just look at the previous World/Euro Cups as to how it drives the prices up. Clubs would have to be mad to sell before a ball is kicked in anger at the Euros

You gotta any pictures of this Russian bird with a Brazilian? Scharf, schnarf!
Sorry mate, stoopid I know.
Just wondering if much transfer business, in general, will be done before the Euros. Given that we badly need a few players, that could make things a bit tight for us.

I?m happy that where expanding out network looking for a higher calibre of player.

Man Utd are in the same situation with the Glazers saddling them with over £600m of debt - personally I’d rather be in our position of owing less money because long term its much more sustainable.....as long as our revenue improves via succes on the pitch/ground move etc etc........a mass debate will now surely ensue.

Dodgy 3rd party ownership issues, the ’Police’ may well have something to say about that...could even be a ’Sting’...

When you read it it opens up the story from the Daily Post that we are interested in Jonas Olsson.
Of course there is a disclaimer on there saying that any views are not that of the club.....blah blah blah, but I can never ever remember this happening before.
I think this is a way of saying we are heavily involved in trying to sign this guy without actually having to take responsibility for it if it falls flat on its arse.

"There is interest from several leagues in Arda. From English Premier League no other club beside FC Everton has submitted an offer so far. A 10 million Sterling offer has come from FC Everton."
It is being said, that Everton officials and Galatasaray officials will come together in next days, and if they agree on a price the transfer could finalize within 10 days.

Anyway for the first time ever I have a my mate told me story... And seen as it the time of year I thought I would throw it in.
Last week about the same time as the Gera rumours I was speaking to a mate on his way to watch Cardiff play in the FA Cup final, and he ’congratulated’ me on Everton being about to sign Joe Ledley.. To which I told him to shut up and I would chat it over when it was official.
Anyway, one for the rumour mill, and well, the BBC has it at the end of this article too..
Never gonna happen is it really? Though to be fair, the lad could well have the ability for the top flight.

Now Im not usually a believer in silly rumours but Ive seen the Dog Whisperer and I reckon we are definetly signing Rio.
Although saying that. it could also be that Terry thinks Rio is bit of a cunt.
