The Mail Bag

Everton Champions of Chile

In the rearranged game home to Colo Colo, CD Everton battered them, winning 3-0 and 3-2 on aggregate. Campeones indeed. heroes everyone and a centenary just around the corner. Ever forever en el corazon.

Like a modern day 66 FA Cup final, the Chilean blues come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2, congratulations.

Colo Colo are like the Manure of Chile. Won the last 4 or 5 championships etc. So, I’d imagine winning the Championship and beating them in this manner must be a big deal in Chile, I’d imagine. Anyone know if this will qualify them for Copa Liberatores next season?
Maybe this can be an inspiration for the Toffees.

Instead of buying a Ruleteros shirt, why not pick up this bargain!

Well done to the Ruleteros! From relegation strugglers to Champions in ONE season! Wish the 2 Everton’s could play a match sometime, now they DO have a nice kit!

I’m not quite sure about this CD Everton business. Some blues are apparently going to give up on the blues if the dreaded move to Kirkby takes place yet we are now showing interest in some team from Chile!! Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why (apart from the name) I should be remotely interested??
