Impending Signings

Comments (12)

Not into rumours and oh this fella said that and someone else said this, but Everton will complete the treble signings of Kris Boyd, Sean Wright-Phillips and Manuel Fernandes next week. Boyd for £3M, Wright-Phillips for an initial loan (loan fee £2M, then perm deal for £8m pre agreed) and Fernandes will sign for £5.5m. Everton are also in talks to sign Jimmy Bullard with Anichebe going in the other direction.

To those contributors who speculate on the imminent arrival of new players, forget it ! there will be no activity by Everton until after the final of European Championships. Bully Wyness has already alluded to this, along with the comments made by Phil Neville that business is likely to be conducted during July. Add to this that David Moyes is now taking a well earned rest with his family following his recent TV commitments. So the rumour mill will keep turning with the usual names during the next couple of weeks, but be patient!!

Michael! Take a chill pill; I’ve got some extra if you need one. There’s no need to get all pissy.

Seriously, I don’t understand why people do this. I mean come on Thomas, who do you think you’re fooling?

No one knows what’s going to happen except Moyes, Kenwright, etc., so everyone stop with all this "I know what’s going to happen just you wait and see". It’s bullshit and everyone knows it.

No, Tommy’s spot on, my mate walks his dog in the same park as Bully, and Bully’s dog told my mates dog exactly the same names, plus Riquelme.

The hard part was getting the information out of me mates dog... he’s got the garden split into 26 squares (one for each letter) and the dog craps in the corresponding squares to communicate.

He’s usually right too, apart from last christmas when me mate gave him some left over curry and he linked us with Klass Jan Huntelaar, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, all in 5 minutes.

You would have thought that with the current size of our squad, we would have been out and signed at least a few squad players to make the numbers up. I?ve just had a look at the 1st team page on the official site and the midfield is scarily low on numbers. I'm sure Moyes knows what he?s doing though............ hopefully.

Just a quick one as regards bringing in squad players.

This is a no win situation for Everton and Moyes. He brings in some squad players and we will all moan about the standard of players he is buying, if he doesn’t we moan because he hasn’t. (I was interested in Gera but is he really any good, he went to Fulham).

At the end of the day have faith in Moyes (even in Kenwright) because they usually get the job done when it comes to transfers and they will do the same this summer.......eventually.

There has only been 1 summer when our business was done early, that was 2006 and people were still moaning then. Get over it, we?ll get the players in, don?t worry.
