Tony Henry........

Comments (6)

Isn't Frank Arneson Chelsea's Director of Football or is he tasked with talent spotting?

Whatever the role, does anyone know of this guy Henry's credentials?

Tony Henry is one of the scouting team at Everton but I believe the man who oversees all the scouts and is highly regarded by Davy is a guy called Robbie Cooke who apparently is as thorough as Moyes himself in his work methods .

I thought Frank was mostly looking for youngsters at Chelsea? Whoever does that job at Everton needs to be fired and it?s no wonder that Aaron Ramsey didn?t want to join us after seeing how other "promising younsters" faired e.g. Simonsen, Spencer, Jutkiewicz, Gosling, Turner, Ruddy... even McFadden to be honest has been a flop considering his original supposed star potential.

Hang on a minute Kieran, Dan Gosling is only 19 isnt he? And moyes has said he will be a big part of our squad this season. Give the lad a chance!

Jutkiewicz has been at Everton one season, Gosling half a season. How can you compare them to players who should be in the first team? Given time, maybe Gosling, Jutkiewicz etc wont develop as we would wish but who knows? To sign young players based on potential is a risk ie. Walcott, Bale etc but who is to say Gosling, Jutkiewicz etc won't be the real deal? Same with Ramsey. Not too many Blues arguing with that in my eyes.

I remember maybe 10 years ago watching a game at GP and the club made a young scottish lad stand up in the director box with his family sat next to him. He had come from scotland and was highly regarded. Who was he and how did he do?

I remember thinking at the time that this kid must be something special and could support Kieran’s point quite nicely...
