The Mail Bag
Supermarket IN stadium likely
Comments (10)
I just had a peek inside the Mailbag and had a chuckle at people thinking that it was a typo regarding the supermarket inside the stadium. I'm an expat living in Seoul. I go to the match most weekends. The Seoul World Cup Stadium has a huge Carrefour supermarket underneath the pitch. It is a good utilisation of space and, to be honest, it is not that noticeable.
The stadium parking doubles up as good supermarket parking. The only problem is that it is open during match day so it is quite amusing dodging between away fans and determined mothers trying to get the weeks shopping in. If you look at the stadium you would never notice a huge supermarket lurking beneath! http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/asia/south_korea/seoul/seoul_wc.shtml
Just so you all know. Supermarkets inside stadiums do exist and Tesco will no doubt be looking to utilise all space available.

The exit from ACL was not quite as disappointing as Evertons defeat at the hands of Fiorentina, but it still hurt.
Actually for those Blues who might take an interest in K-League footy its worth noting the parallels between Everton
(my 1st team) and Pohang (my adopted team).
? both came from working class roots, were founder members of their respective leagues, both had glorious title winning teams during the eighties and occasional success in the nineties ? this followed by a somewhat barren spell since the turn of the Millennium.
It now seems however, that things are heading in the right direction for both clubs, the return to Europe for Everton and ?Steelers actually winning the K-league last season (and making an all too brief appearance in this seasons Asian Champions League).
Added to this, the fact that both clubs were once able to showcase the best football grounds in the land (Goodison Park and the Pohang Steelyard respectively) - unfortunately, however this isn?t the case anymore as time caught up and now both grounds appear to be far behind their more modern, soulless, and commercial orientated stadiums.
So there you have it, for all u blues looking for a Asian team to shout for - Pohang are the one!
The main problem with supporting this team however?their kit, yeah u guessed it - they play in red :(
anyways ? just goes to show:
- its always worth knowing your History~!

It has been written by a journalist who up until 4 weeks ago was editor for Niche Commercial Magazine and was based in London. Having met her a few times her knowledge of commercial mortgages is good but as for anything to do with EFC, forget it
It is a poor article, she seems to assume that Tesco are paying £120mn to Everton which as we know is not the case, she doesnt back anything up with substance
On a more positive note she did a nice editorial on me and my business in February in her old magazine

This seems like an obvious starting point to see if there is a supermarket ?inside? the ground.
