City centre presence

Comments (8)

With a lot being made of the lack of Everton Football Club's presence in the city centre I reckon we should take matters into our own hands.

Scarfs tied to lamp-posts, flags in shop windows etc etc etc - as if we were in a cup final or something (seize the day!). Please note I'm not advocating graffiti or litter or anything like that (hate all that crap) - this is something I want to do tastefully

I'm going to try and start this off this weekend and see if it takes off. Please join me. Maybe in a weeks time Everton FC will have huge presence in our city centre. Probably not but it's worth a go.

Great idea Mark - hope it catches on. But you make a good point - there must be hundreds of Evertonian shopkeepers, landlords etc. in the City Centre.

Why not announce it on Facebook? There are loads of Everton-related groups on there and its a good way of communicating to the masses...

Why Mark? At the end of the day, if the Kirkby move goes ahead, there will be no need to make our prescence felt in Liverpool, because we will be from Kirkby.

Oh my god... people should step back and take this in. We are worried about losing our identity! Fuck this, protest, don’t go the first few matches next season. Protest to the people who matter, and hit them where it hurts! In the pocket!

Robbie Muldoon exactly as long as people pay their money and turn up every week those balloon?s (Kenwright & Wyness) will think everything is rosy in the garden,

Never will I part with another cent while that Wyness is at Everton.

Whatever happened to supporting the team and club no matter what? People throwing their dummies out because they are a little upset about the inevitable move to Kirkby.... oh dear.....

I'm also against it but there's nothing we can do. We should unite and support our beloved team, go to as many games as we can and make our team move on from where it finished off last season....

People who are saying they refuse to spend a penny on Everton are not supporters in my eyes, every penny counts, and if it helps to buy a better player for the team then surely that is a good thing?! How do you think the bigger clubs got to where they are now? Don't you want us to move on!?

A sense of identity in football is EVERYTHING. I would rather trade success for not eroding crucial parts of our identity.

We are Everton, we have our crest, our blue shirts and our home in Liverpool.
