Masters Football

Comments (11)

Just thought I'd let you all know that Everton, Liverpool, Tranmere and Wigan are playing in the Mersey Masters football tonight. It's on Skysports 2 at 8pm.

Big Dunc is playing for the Blues. Can't wait to see the big man again.

Meanwhile, just looking around on the net and i came across this article. Looks as if Manny is on his way out and Everton are leading the chase. I hope we get him as he's a raw talent! COYB

Was it just a rumour they were playing or were they officially named at one point? I thought Dunc was playing for a minute and it ended up being Brett!

And who is that in goal ?

The guy they had in goal (don’t know the name - didn’t catch it on radio earlier) broke his toe mowing his grass somehow.

The goalkeeper is academy coach Kevin O’Brien.

One of his pigeons was giving birth so he had to miss it.

Wouldn?t bother guys we just lost to Tranmere 5 - 1. I could have done better and I have a ruptured achilles tendon and in plaster and the wrong side of 50. Still only have Liverpool to play next and look as though they have Hanson , Dalglish and Torres!!!!!

Good for a laugh the old MASTERS footie

I cant believe the dross the Everton ?masters? team have just dished out!!
I know its a bit of fun but surely Brett Angell must've played that badly on purpose and Warren Aspinall's doctor should've told him that over-exertion is dangerous for him in that condition.

Dont pigeons (as with most birds) lay eggs rather than give birth?

It was an analogy to a human giving birth which would warrant Big Dunc missing the masters. Hopefully that gets me out of it!

With the lack of Everton related football, I was quite looking forward to watching this (even had an argument with the missus over the remote). First game against Tranmere thinking this should be an easy win,t hen saw who we had playing for us was not so optimistic! To top it off we lost 5-1 with jigsaw getting a hat trick. Turned over. Missus was happy. How did we do against rs?
