The Mail Bag

Yet again

Yet again the post-season optimism has died a death. Nugent, Riquelme, Toure, Barton to name a few... A pre-season of speculation, Moyes after players we could never entice... what are we left with? A stagnent Board praying Sheff Utd get relegated! So we can sign a utility player at a knock-down fee!!!

We never pushed on two seasons ago when we reached the promised land. Another fruitless summer equates to one thing: the perpetual laughing-stock that is Everton FC being bounced out of Europe at the first hurdle again!

This will see a cold, lonely winter for Kenwright and his Board as they will be booed out of the club, and Moyes will be left wishing he had taken the Newcastle job.

The Newcastle job? Lets see now, qualities needed - spend loadsamoney buying players Moyes was trying to sign, like that loveable son of the shitehawks did. Or have a son to act as agent for high wage players slushing around the European circuit.

Sorry, I?m sure DM would never have qualified for the post. I haven?t spoken to him, so I don?t know if he was approached or it ever entered his thoughts. We?ll never know.

Keith is a town in Scotland - I’m sure the many Evertonians there would be upset if you spelled it ’Kieth’
