Nugent.

I'm made up Mikel is signing a new contract. For all of what BK says, that we like to get things done out of the media spotlight. One thing Bill, he ain't signed yet. He's worth 80 grand a week.

Anyway, been thinking about the value of Nugent compared to Alan Smith. Nugent: England under 21 international. Great goalscoring record... Evertonian with blue blood: PRICELESS.

Did Bill keep a straight face when proclaiming "The Everton Way"?!

Wouldn?t "The Everton Way" be a great name for a new road in Kirkby?

Can anyone suggest a holiday destination where I won't be able to get online/newspapers regarding anything Everton?

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm now starting to get a little bit apprehensive about the lack of activity on the inward transfer front.

Hearing that the likes of Flamini are available on a Bosman, Smith is unwanted up there in Manchester, that pre-season training begins soon and we haven't made any moves is filling me with nerves.

I might just try to get in the Big Brother house so I can be out of the loop until August!

Did anyone know Alan Smith is actually a red? Grew up sopporting Liverpool as a boy even though his whole family were Leeds fans. The same goes for Koumas. Grew up on the Wirral supporting the shite. Do we really want two kopites? In my opinion, if they can play football sign them.

Well we can?t all be perfect Connor can we?. It takes some people a bit longer to find the light and their true calling. Seriously though its the same in business, as an employee you don?t have to support a company by buying their products and services in order to work for them successfully.

The RS from that stinky place across the park have done it to us in the past so wouldn?t it be fair to have one or both of them in the squad and for either of them to score the winner in the first derby match in October... that would be sweet.

Sorry lads, don?t know. But one history lesson might help: J Morrissey and K Sheedy ?crossed the park?. Don?t know where their hearts and minds were, but I know where the silverware is.

Except for excessive smoking habits in one case, decent lads according to most reports.

Isn’t Peter Reid a rednose too? I couldn’t give a monkey’s who they support as long as they sweat blood for the team and don’t score "own goals" for their beloved clubs or former sides.

Gavin - jeez this is getting like a chat room - I was in an eatery in Manchester (am I allowed to say that?) a few months back and I heard a familiar voice over to my left. I think Peter Reid was on his way to a BBC thing, and having a steadying glass before he went. I couldn’t resist and thanked him for all that he had done for EFC.

Someone like him must have heard this a thousand times or more, but he shook me warmly by the hand and wished me and the club the best he could.

I left out the bit where he should have taken Maradona off at the knees when he started that run and scored the good goal. I’m sure he’s heard that one a few times himself.
