Old Boys' Reunion?

Comments (9)

Anyone urging DM to get out there and add to the squad ? you have to use the word 'strengthen' more carefully ? should look at the 56 players avaiable from Premier League clubs on frees this month. That list includes:-

Tom Myhre; Michael Ball; David Unsworth; Mark Pembridge; Tom Radzinski; plus Craig Short if you still count Sheff Utd as Premier League.

A swoop into the market and what a boost this would be to the 5-a-side sessions, with the advantage that they could already find their way to the training ground.

Come to think of it, one, or possibly two of those names could make some sense if you are looking for reliable squad players who can still play, but what does DM have in mind? We won't find out until it happens, will we.

With the exception of injury-plagued Ball, the rest are all shit and not worth the time writing out their names.

I agree with Shaun. A BIG step backwards signing any of them and anyway, were not good enough for Short & Ratsinki! Thay want to win stuff! Ppppffffftttttttt!

Its how the argument is put; list some shite available as free or do complete list including Europe and slightly further afield although the latter would take some homework and here’s a few for thought Geremi, Ben Tal Haim, Flamini, Tuncay not all work out and some want big salaries but not all free agents are shite.

Lets not forget Zenden - a good left sided player with experience, be fun to have a Kopite too!

(Stand back and watch all those wearing blue tinted glasses get all steamed up!)

Its not a case of getting steamed up Zenden looked a completely average player at Boro and he was one of the poorest players to put on the RS shirt in recent times.

You say that, but he didn’t play much, was injured alot when he was at Boro and Benitez never picked him for them over there. Given a decent run he’d be a good addition, he just hasn’t played enough football recently. Was a class act a few years ago and still not that old.

Same goes for Richardson with regard first team football.

Well Shaun and Mark, I think you got the point. What a terrible backward step anything like this would be, and I would be amazed if Moyes did such a thing of his own free will. And would anyone want a player who had left to ’win’. But, interesting this, I wondered about Ball and his ability to get his boots on.

Zenden is interesting - he is on a free 40 days after starting in a European final. Somebody with more interest in the shitehawks than myself might be able to explain how this can happen, but it must be some sort of record. A bit like Dudek’s career development perhaps?

I quite like Richardson he is young and has potential.

Zenden is just so average when I have watched the Shite on SkySport in the pub he is the one I have spent my time taking the piss out of he cant pass, he runs he beats one player and then passes it out for a throw-in for the opposition.

The fat waiter I belive was just waiting for investment to roster in new signings now its the draft season (or the off season, im not to sure what the correct yank terminology is) and now he has got his Benjamins he has been released from the MerseyRedSox Sports Entertainement Soccer Franchise Inc.

According to my radio, Sheff U are no longer a Prem club (unless they launch successful legal action pdq - no cchance) I’ll bet we all wonder if it had been the other way round and Wham were tryng to get points deducted from Sheff if they might just have stood a better chance.

So, will the much predicted transfer go ahead, followed by a few more? Soon find out.
