Get up them polls

From the various comments etc on this site, it appears that EFC have taken notice of the poll that TW held regarding the move to Kirkby.

Bearing this in mind, and the fact that we know precious little about the EFC fan poll in August, its limitations, how the question(s) will be put, may I suggest to TW that you put up a new detailed poll on the subject to dig out the REAL opinion of supporters everywhere ?

You can even add "current location" as a parameter to really break down the fans' opinions. And even various socio-economic factors for a really professional questionnaire.

Methinks if the poll questions are well thought-out and detailed and the replies come in sufficient numbers, EFC will take notice even if they don't admit it.

TW would provide the real picture and opinion of the fans - as it already does to a certain point.

I open the board to suggestions for questions and hope this idea might appeal to you at TW (you have the power, use it !).

Let me start them off (in no particular order) :

1) did you vote for the move to King's Dock
2) would you ever want to leave Goodison
3) would you leave GP for the "right" place
4) do you think leaving GP is urgent (less than 5 yrs)
5) would you like to wait for the best possible solution
6) do you think Kirkby is the "right" place
7) do you agree with the 1:1 choice GP:Kirkby
... there are thousands of questions possible...

Interesting you should bring this us, David, as I was mulling something very much like this over a few days ago. It all comes down to time but I do think that pulling a detailed poll along these lines together would be useful. Stay tuned...

I think an important question has to be:

Goodison + Money for Players now (we must have money put aside for the move?)

or

Kirkby + Limited money for players

Heheh, sorry, Roy. We doing everything above board here and if it turned out pro-Kirkby we’d have to go with majority rule on this one no matter how much we might disagree with the final decision.

The whole poll thing is frought with danger. I realise that composing these questions to gleen the most information possible is very difficult. However, I would also ask that those questions and the whole process be informative in themselves by really asking people to carefully consider all the ramifications of moving to Kirkby or staying or any other options, leading them through all the issues seperately, thus ensuring that the questions are answered from a more informed stance. The difficulty being of course that the lack of info from some quarters being prohibitive at this point in time. Before anyone says it, these wouldn’t be loaded questions, just ones with back-up info/references asking people to be as open-minded and honest as possible in their responses. I know...... I’m not asking for much am I? Just the perfect poll that’s all ;) Told you it was a dangerous business!
