Typical, I?m at work and a conversation erupts about Football and everyone is very excited about the transfer windows coming and goings. A Chelsea fan enjoying discussions about Torres going to Liverpool, a Liverpool fan getting interested about another expensive bloke I?ve never heard of going to Chelsea. Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham all seem popular, all attracting players these people want to talk about, ever one loves a big name, ?oh yeah he?s good?, ?yeah I?d like to see him in the Premier League?, ?He was brilliant in the Champions League for so and so? etc etc.
But the comment that ended the conversation was the word "Everton." Everyone just lost interest and got on with their work and the Chelsea fan crops up and said, ?Never mind, you got James Beattie and didn?t you do quite well last season? You got 7th or 8th, didn?t you?
MOYES, sign someone and make it a good ?un so I can wipe the smile of their faces! Give me something to work with down here! Somebody please do something!
Always out numbered but never out gunned. A very devoted Essex-based Toffee fan

Paul I feel for you mate I really
do but dont think you are alone with your depair. Up this end of the country there is also growing concern at the lack of anything at all going on with regards to EFC.
There are some of our fans who still have faith in Moyes/Kenwright doing the right thing and turning this farcical situation around.
Now it will be a fucking miracle if we manage to get shut of Beattie ,Advm and the rest of the
loafers we have at the club and bring in the 5 or 6 new players we actually need.
Its not looking good mate but you keep your chin up son and just have faith in our genius of a manager and the fantastic board we have [all 3 of them]in pulling us out of the shit.
If you really are in need of cheering up mate try and get a copy of last weeks Liverpool Echo with the plans for the new stadium in Kirkby inside.
Best laugh Evertonians have had since a pissed up Peter Beagrie went through a shop window on a moped.
As for Chelsea fans mate dont worry about them thier support is shite. They cant sell there allocation of tickets for CL semis or FA cup finals.Thier away support is a joke and If it wasnt for Abramovich they would still be a Mickey mouse club with shit fans

I’m afraid the days of Everton FC being associated with big name purchases are long gone. The biggest name we have had was homegrown and if he develops by the age of 27/28 he may well become the biggest name of them all. Unfortanately we swapped him for half of his current reserve team. On the plus side Everton’s most sucessful teams have generally become big names at Everton rather than being big names before they arrived, the 1984/85 team being a perfect example. If DM becomes more adventurous he may well have the basics of a team that could surprise even us dyed in the wool Blues.

I suppose the only thing that compounds the whole situation is we go and make a tit of ourselves at the same time - Riquelme signing
I wouldn’t worry about those tosspots down there mate. I was in London for 10 years and honestly, they talk shite. Ask most of them to name the 11 who started ’their’ sides last game and they’d be choking on their skinny latte’s

I know what you mean Red S ite signing names like Torres and we are fighting ourselves for bloody Jags ! GREAT. Last year for the first time in ages I felt genuine excitement for a signing in AJ. Look at the difference he made-we have a different diamention. We paid good money for a good player simple as that and if wed wanted to sell wed have doubled our investment. We have a good spine but we need quality lets be honest to challenge the top 4 consisitently. COME ON YOU LOVELY BLUES !

Who gives a shit what Chelsea fans say. Just tell them that we have a true team instead of mercenary over priced foreigners. Remind them that Everton drew them 1-1 at Stamford Bridge and had the winner but the official got it horribly wrong and disallowed it. Remind them that we took 4 points of the Red Shyte beating them 3-0. Remind them that we beat Arsenal 1-0 at Goodison. Remind Spurs that we beat them 2-0 in London with only 10 men.
