The Mail Bag

How about this one?

As I write this I'm putting me tin hat on ready for the bombardment, but here goes...

Read today that Fowler hasn't recieved one offer yet. What a signing for us; he would be brilliant in Europe and great to bring off the bench in a tight game, all for free. It could be the best signing weve never made.

Personally, I don't care who he played for or what he's said and done he'd be a terrific signing for us. What d'yer think Marshy and all you T/Web addicts?

Think his wage demands might be prohibitive.

Buying players who are past their sell by date is ok to boost squad numbers but it’s not a general policy that I’d advocate for a progressive club.

However, I can’t really disagree that he’d be a good bench warmer and a good wild card to have at the ready.

D’you think there might be a reason why he hasn’t had any offers yet ?

What with him being a ’has-been’ and all.

This is a guy whos been living on past glories ever since he first left the RS...Surely the days of this kind of signing are over..What sort of reception do you think he would receive after what has happened in the past?.

No no no no. I hate him as much as he hates EFC. Wouldn’t feel right. Only good thing is I could have my name on the back of an Everton shirt without it looking badly wrong!! (Not related to that prick in any way thank fuck)

Well said Karl, I haven?t seen the fat waster have a decent game for at least five years. Would be a waste of wage money and could hinder vaughan and victor?s progress, who on last season's form are a better option than some washed-up property tycoon.

Put the bong down Terry that shit is real strong man.Fowler at Everton Why would we want a fat waster who cant score goals any more when we already have James Beattie.

I would sooner bring Brett Angel back than sign a washed up Kopite twat like him.Its got to be the worst idea ever.

Moyes would be lynched if he dared to even suggest bringing the touchline sniffer to this club.

What next Mark Lawrenson as youth team coach or how about Phil Thompson as public relations officer. Daft fucking idea
Terry.

I am not sure its good policy if as it seems, Everton will not sign anyone approaching or even older than 30. Close to home there are a few stand outs that support my case. Our own Alan Stubbs and the other lots McAllister (now retired)come to mind. Man U Chelsea and even Arsenal have no qualms in signing good oldies if only as stop gaps.

Terry go straight to midnight mass and confession, say twelve dozen "Hail Marys" and beg for forgiveness of even thinking about that satanic nose fluted twat ever coming near this club.

More relaxed, the majority of over 30 year old players are beyond their prime and already have their post playing career sorted, we as a club have gone beyond the signing of that type of player, I say that type and not the odd supreme athlete that can still turn a game for at least two or three more years such as Thierry Henry at 29 still a gem, Riquelme at 29 still class, etc but not Smackhead for god’s sake no.

Tony, check this out. I totally agree with you!!!! I think that every single Evertonian would agree on this one though. The guy is a washed up koptite who is no way worthy to play in our team.
