Numbers Game

Jagielka in, Naysmith gone. How is this strengthening the squad in terms of numbers?

Some people are obviously glad to see the back of Naysmith but to me he was a useful squad player, the very sort that we are going to have to get in to challenge on all fronts this season.

I'm puzzled. There obviously IS a hidden financial agenda because, squad-size-wise, 1 + 1 - 1 is still 1!

Dithering Dave is obviously working on the idea the Riquelme will do the job of 10 mere mortals.

I’ll be tuning in to the next Argentina game in the Copa America to see him in action whilst praying at the same time.

Ray, you’ve obviously got no grasp of the Everton Way of Mathematics.

Jagielka can play in 4 different positions, therefore it’s like having 4 new signings!

Gary has gone to get a regular game. Whether some people think he wasn’t good enough at Everton is immaterial - he is Scotland LB and needs to play regularly.

I can only think that Moyes looks upon two players in each defensive position as sufficient. That is, Hibbert,Neville and Jagielka as Right Backs, Yobo, Lescott, Stubbs and Jagielka as Centre Backs and Nuno Valente and Lescott as Left Backs. From there I can only imagine he does something similar for midfield and attack. I can?t say I agree with it but struggle to come up with any other explanation except that we really are skint.
