Italian Job?

Comments (5)

Now here's an interesting point to debate. Is BK holding the club back or is he stopping us from going over the edge à la Michael Caine in (real version) 'The Italian Job'? Picture the finale... The bus (club) balanced on the edge of the cliff, while Those inside (us) are at the wrong end (of Stanley Park) from all the money (potential investment). The nearer we get to the money the more likely we (they) slide towards the abyss (Leeds). We never saw an outcome one way or the other, (where was the sequel when you needed it? )... So wither BK? Hero? Villain? Or just plain fuckwit? I don't know, but I don't think hero is the answer.

Let’s really muddy up the water of your analogy for you Derek, thanks to artistic licence the original story from the book was changed, in the book Mr Bridger betrays Charlie and they land back in blighty in landing craft to be met by Mr Bridger and the mafia who take the gold, interesting betrayal scenario originally written but theatrically changed.

Yes the key word here being Gold
but as we all know BK is more inclined to be dealing in lead.

Probably off a church roof.

In the mooted sequal which I believe went as far as being story lined, the character played by Benny Hill and his large Italian ladies came along and weighed down the bus so it wouldn’t topple.
Is this a sign for James Beattie?

To help alleviate off season boredom I invented this little game. The aim is to read the body of a letter then guess who wrote it. For variety I look first at the authors name then guess its content.
Sadly, because too many letters reflect the one track track minds of their authors that game has itself become boring.

I hope Marshy that you publicly apologise to BK should everything at the club come up smelling of blue roses. As I have said before. We are on the dancefloor, just a matter of a few more steps to the centre...
