Riquelme

Just watching Riquelme picking apart Peru for fun. Too bad it was just a hoax. He is a truly brilliant player and would settle any creative problems we lack. Anyone heard anything at all that would make it seem something more than a hoax?

Following the news of Tim and Mikel extending their contracts, wasn`t it fabulous to see another Everton `great`-Phil Neville- pledge his future to the cause. I read yesterday that `Captain Fantastic`was Sven`s first target on getting the Man City job but that our man had rejected his `double your money` offer to move back up the East Lancs. Add the fact that so many players now list Everton as their `club of choice` and you begin to realise what Davey Moyes has got going here!

Phil Neville an Everton great? Are you sure Richard. You are putting Neville up there with Dean, Young, Labone, Ball, Arteta who are all true Everton greats.

Neville is an ordinary utility player who some accused last season of throwing in the towl against the Mancs. Labelling Neville as agreat is very silly, mate.

Yeah, Phil Neville as an Everton "great" is like saying Brett Angell was an Everton "legend".

Never the less, he’s rejected some tempting overtures in order to stay with us. I like the lad a lot and, like Carsley a few seasons ago, his work goes unnoticed.

His work does go unnoticed you are correct.

It’s a shame he can’t pass though.

FFS Richard! Sometimes I think you come out with bollocks like this just to wind people up. Neville is not an Everton great and never will be. He is a good honest pro, that's all. My missus, along with her dad, are Man U fans and when I mentioned what you said about Neville, they burst out laughing. They said that Utd fans don?t even consider him a great and he spent years there.

Also, maybe the reason he didn?t sign for Man City was because he played most of his career with Utd and thought about all the abuse he would recieve off Utd supporters. And the players now listing us as their first choice really get me excited: Nugent, Koumas, Jags... Wow, them names really get the juices flowing... NOT!Y our post is just another example of your sycophant love for Moyes, BK and Co.

Richard, I think you need to explain to some of these muppets the way you used you punctuation with regards to Nev being ?great?.

Matt, I?m not that good with this punctuation lark. So could you tell one of "these muppets" what Richard meant? Are you saying he meant it tongue in cheek? Because, we are talking about Richard (everything is rosey down at Goodison)Dodd.

right lets get this right your saying p nev is a great that?s like saying earl barrat was too. do you know i can honesstly say p nev has cost us at least 9 points and i?m being kind i don?t often slate my team he is not good enough to wear the shirt he may of sone a few nice crosses and got stuck in, i would get stuck in for that money he?s on but in certain games he?s passed to the other team and they?ve scored another p nev school boy error again sorry but that?s my view .

Phil Neville was our weakest player last season. His passing was appalling and at times he seemed to lack the will for a fight and did nothing to inspire the players around him. The Man U game at home his head visibly dropped with all the other players as soon as Utd got their first! He, as captain, should have been LIFTING those around him. Brian Waring is right, nothing more than a good honest pro - never a great.
