The Mail Bag
Feeding on fodder

It would appear that whilst Man United call on the support of their cronies in the Premier league and Fifa to shaft West Ham over the transfer of Tevez, we will wait for the conclusion of this seedy affair before Alan Smith becomes available. In the event of Kieran Richardson's arrival and the possible acquisition of Smith it will add more to the suggestion that Everton have become a feeder Club to United and we will be given first shout on their cast offs. It would also be interesting to know if payments are made on a drip feed basis as with the Rooney scenario, Kenwright and Wyness are so cunning that this would be probably be the prefared method as they continue to hoodwink fans on their shambolic investment and administration.
It has also been suggested that the acquisition of Johnson, Lescott and Howard last season was supported by the anticipated cash flow that has been made available through this season's new TV deal. The cuckoo land of Riquelme's test-page will continue to provide a smoke screen to gullible fans as to the real dealings that go on down the corridors of power on Goodison Road.

Please don?t use the term smokescreen just in case Michael is watching. I used it once, but (not)!! in the words of Basil Fawlty, I didn?t get away with it !! (apologies to those too young to understand!)
Simon.

By the very definition of the term, ’feeder club’ means supplier to a bigger club.
We have sold 5 players to them in the past 129 years, 1 in the past 25 years and a total of 4 players in the past 100 years. That’s not much of a feeder club, is it?
The fact that we have bought two of the current Champions squad players, and are about to buy a third, is hardly suddenly indicative of us being ’inferior to Utd’.
Newsflash: we ARE inferior to Utd, and have been for most of the past 20 years. Players who aren’t good enough for Man Utd are not necessarily ’not good enough for Everton’. Richardson may do a good job for us if he can recapture his WBA loan form of 2-3 years ago.

By the way, Howard and Neville aren’t that bad either (prepared to debate the merits of Neville by the way!)

How the fuck do I know, but it seems that if West Ham dont ’own’ him they may be fined points ahead of NEXT season.
This will make Sheff U the most sinned against club since us in 1985 when we were penalised through no fault of our own.
I can only look forward to the Prem / FA deducting points from thr Muffers for playing an illegal player. Not holding my breath.
