Stats don't lie

Well I logged on today and what I saw did not surprise me. Passions are clearly inflamed. Understandably so, we all want the club to do well. If I may,I will address the two totems of the day.

Tony (Marsh), one cannot deny Moyes's achievements; to do so, in a personal manner, does really undermine a lot of the credible things you say.

Paul (Attress), to stand still and not build on achievement (in any walk of life) is a recipe for disaster; to deny this really undermines your credible argument too.

Take the emotion out. Be impartial for a second. Look at the stats underpinning the team, they have been on Sky Text all summer (so good, could have been drawn up by our own Mr Flanagan!).

Throw-ins, free kicks, corners, shots on target inside the box, outside the box, dribbles, passes, tackles, free kicks won... just look at who is the top (in % success terms)... of every one! No surprises: Arteta.

However, more importantly, just look at the differential bewteen him and the second place... just look at the gap. Then think Arteta ligament damage in August/September. Where are we going then?

Paul, your passion and belief in Everton is commendable, on its own, it is however patently flawed. To not effectively plan for this contingency is suicidal. By his actions Moyes believes that no ill luck will fall on us. That's not strategy, Paul, that is, as the term implies, luck.

I think we're better than that. Don't you? It's a sorry summer. The only glimmer I have is that it will be the final nail in Kenwright's coffin. He's the real culprit, Tony (Marsh).

James while I totally agre with you that BK is the culprit behind our failings I find it hard to except that Moyes plays no part in it.

Moyes if he is being denied funds for players is acting like BKs lapdog. Why wont DM come out and say as much if its true? Theres no money for players guys and thats the way it is. Its so easy.

No we have to have this fucking annual pantomine were no one tells any body else anything.

Thats why I get angry. We are all grown men and if the clubs skint tell us and will will get on with it.All this smoke and mirrors bullshit is driving me around the bend. The truth may hurt but at least we will know were we stand.
