Jagielka Debut Con?

Comments (6)

You all know me and you all know I rarely have anything bad to say about the club but this time I am forced to reluctantly aim critism at Everton.

We are told that Phil Jagielka is not named in the squad for the friendly against N Ireland but he will be playing against Preston which coincedently will be screened live and exclusive on Everton TV.

In other words, if we want a look at Everton's only summer signing making his debut we have to pay for it. Has David Moyes really agreed to keep Jagielka out of the friendly in the hope that a few of us will pay to see his debut on Everton TV? I know we have money trouble at the moment but that's a little tacky, Everton, for shame.

I like this bit: "All of David Moyes's senior players will be involved including new summer signings Phil Jagielka and Lukas Jutkiewicz." How manay were missing? Howard, Cahill, Arteta, Jagielka, Osman... How's that for clarity and honesty?

Nothing surprises me about Everton these days Dutch. We have a transfer policy that prices players circa 1972 and a manager who spends all his time telling us that the likes of Liverpool and United are paying over the odds for players they could have bought for 30p and a stick of Hubba Bubba. Still, we got an interview with Bjorn Borg for our site sub - what are you complaining about?

Yeah but we also finished 6th, qualified for Europe, have several International players, two or three exciting young players, a largely British squad and the awesome Arteta plays for us plus we are not supporting a team that sold out to big fat sweaty yanky money. So you know its not all bad.

Has anyone else noticed the ?new? Dutch?s inability to correctly spell his nom de guerre? I?ve seen 3 different spellings of it so far.

Has the real good old Dutch really reappeared or has Michael not been taking his schizophrenia medication again and let Mr Hyde run loose for a while again?

Or maybe ?Dutch? is Michael?s Dr Jekyl???

Like everything in life Dutch, of course you have to pay for it.
I would also assume that if Jags is not in the Ireland match squad, he’ll be playing at Bury today. You can therefore see his debut, but will have to pay for a ticket.
Personally I will see him in action at Preston on Wednesday even though I subscribe to Everton TV, as nothing beats the real match experience.

By the way, does any other subscriber to Everton TV have a big RED square on their "TV" on the everton site, and have to actually download the clips to Windows Media Player to see them. I have raised this with Everton but are still waiting for a reply.

Also Keith, you never see posts from Doddy and Dutch together...did the chairman of KOCSUK appear soon after Dutch departed? Hmmmmm.

Not here Keith. Have you tried a different browser? I know I had problems using Internet Exploder in the past
