Trond Olsen

I was really pleased to see Norwegian winger Trond Olsen linked to Everton on the sports news in Norway last night.
Olsen has had a great season, scoring 10 goals in a team who surprisingly finished 4th in the league. His critics would say he is prone to a lack of form, going in and out of it - but the last half of the season was great. Most notably, a remarkable hat-trick against former giants Rosenborg.
IF we DO sign him it would be a great acquisition for us, and according to the Rumour Mill, only for about £ 1 mill.
One of the best prospects in the Norwegian league. If that counts for anything these days :)

I will not hold my breath Kjetil - 99% of the rumours are bullshit. As Moyes said, he will be looking for loan deals, I doubt that he will have even £1m required for the player available.
This ain?t gonna happen if he?s not injured. Moyes is only interested in players (sic) who are injured, half-injured, those with a very long history of injuries or those who are dead but would have been injured anyway. Sorry mate.
Thanks Kjetil. While Stefan?s assessment of the rumour industry seems to be about right, it's good to have some reliable background information. And reliable information is surely what a site such as this ought to be all about.
Stephen, do you mean the likes of Arteta, Pienaar, Jags, Howard, Neville, Yobo, Fellaini, Lescott, etc.??

I haven't read the article yet, but check out the picture - Are Everton signing the Munsters? It makes our proposed new signings looks positively disturbed!
Happy New Year to blues everywhere!

I've sent mail before about Trond Olsen.
Now I read in the Norwegian papers that EFC is in contact with Bodø/Glimt regarding the left-wing attacker Trond Olsen.
My opinion is, Trond is a guy who fit in a attacking Everton... he is a winger and can play as forward if necessary.
From the wing he made 10 from 26... he has the speed in his steps as we haven't seen since Adrei! And he makes the goals when lacking forwards such as Yakubu and Co.
