Has anybody got any good links to watch the derby online tonight? Or know which radio stations are broadcasting commmentary? I'm down in Northants now so the usual Cityfm is no good to me now.

Let's make this the Matchday thread once the coverage gets started. Great to hear Moyes acknowledge that the lads must improve on the shite produced in the last two dreadful derbies... Let's be having the red bastards!

We have really started to play like we have been recently in the last few minutes and it’s much better to see. We should have no inferiority complex here because how the hell they have sat tp is beyond me. We have had more chances despite not having the possession we could and we should be looking to win this. I can’t believe Skyrtl - he’ll probably cry because I’ve spelt it wrong - being such a pussy. He’s spent too much time around Gerrard and Torres. In all the build up we were described as the grafters and the long ball team but the only time we look to be troubled is when they play long balls.

We look pretty organised but aren’t offering enough upfront. Unless they bring on another midfielder I think we could push Anichebe further up and move him central, go 4-4-2 and give them some more to think about. Everyone is having a solid game. They have had one good chance but the little girl they play upfront missed it. Jag has had her in his pocket otherwise.

Can hardly believe what im seeing... everytime those fairies Torres and Gerrard (now also frog-eyes Riera too) fall down, Mr Webb earns his pay-off for the night by blowing for a foul. Pineaar booking... Webb was too busy looking the other way for any hurt Liverpool girls but still managed to give the foul.

From our side, I think we are being silly in font of our own box and thankfully have not been made to pay by them. We were lucky that Torres missed when one-on-one with Howard.

Hope we can produce a moment of magic and steal the game. Cahill looking lively and likely to score. Ossie is crap... get Gosling on please... COYB

Deserved at least a draw tonight. Some posters were calling for Pienaar to come off ? get a clue. Pienaar?s work rate was tremendous, Baines was rock solid, and for the most part our back line was good. Osman was the only player that vanished tonight. Even big Vic put in a good shift.

Arteta?s free kick was perfect and Cahill did what he does best. It?s difficult to see what Moyes could have done differently ? our options are few. Maybe Osman off with 20 minutes to go. Great effort, good support and a decent result. Let's go out and beat them on Sunday. COYB

I am very disappointed.

Liverpool were FAR from convincing.

Why would Moyes play a poor Anichebe on the wing when we had an actual right-mid? Where was Gosling? I would rather have had Andy VdM in on the right than Anichbe.

I’m also mad about Anichebe diving, very, very, disappointed. Every other one of our players played with dignity.

That being said, Anichebe, Pienaar, and Cahill were the only ones who played with any balls. Everyone else gave too much time, space, and respect to the Liverpool player with the ball. We made them look a lot better than they were.

I now know where Moyes gets the nickname "Dithering Dave". No substitutions (again) and no emotion from him until we were down. Also, it was obvious to everyone that we need a striker. With Yak and Vaughan out for the season, and Saha probably out for most of it as well, it should not have come as any surprise to him. He’s had the whole month of January to bring someone in, even on a short-term loan. I love Moyes to death, but he is immensely frustrating sometimes.

I can’t wait for Saturday. Hopefully Moyes plays the same full strength team, only with Gosling on instead on Anichebe. With that lineup and a little more confidence, we can end the bastards’ season.

Thing about the subs is - who could you have taken off... and more importantly, who would you have put on?

Chucking a kid on when you’re 7 minutes from the 90 and a goal behind is just stupid.

I don’t expect the same team to start Sunday... I’ve a feeling Moyes will leave Anichebe on the bench and play Gosling.

I’m putting next month’s rent money on 1-0 to Everton, Cahill to score the first goal.

Anyone else notice how the fat waiter was so confident at 85 minutes that he took the ladyboy off and decided to play the last 5 minutes (plus injury time) without a recognised forward. Obviously hasn't studied Tim while in hospital, too busy writing his rant at Fergie.

Just back from the pub. 3 proper blue scousers, 2 Villa Fans and 3 off-duty plod watched it in the basement of a posh hotel bar at £3 a pint. But it was well worth every penny.

I think we made them look so ordinary it was boring. We knew all their strengths and had them well sorted. Just one effing moment from HIM again.

When Tim scored from Mikki's delivery I first thought of that article in The Times with their interview. Our goal has been practiced over 100 times, I can guarantee. It was textbook off the training ground and I bet they were bored shitless during practice.

Let's get our players more bored shitless at work and score another 3 of these on Sunday. That lot are not the RS, they are the OS (O = ordinary).

After tonight:
I am not happy.
I am not sad.
I am a bit disappointed.
I can?t wait for the Sabbath.
I reckon they are shiteingit now.
I have absolutley no fear of winning.
I reckon we will win that goddam FA Cup.
I am now going to stop.

Buenas Noches.

Tony.

Personally, I?m absolutely delighted with a point...now let?s knock them out of the cup too.

One matter of concern... Baines is our only defender than can (or even tries) to pass the ball. The rest of them are still playing hoofball far, far too much.

But still, a reasonably good performance and a very good point.

Jimmy Crack, you need to lay off the crack mate! We?ve just put in a great team performance and come away with a point from Anfield thus denting their title aspirations and you're posting negative nonsense.

"Dithering Dave" kept faith in the eleven men on the park and in my mind ? scoring an equaliser with those eleven men on the park would suggest it might have been the best thing to do. If he had slung a couple of kids on for the last 15 minutes and we had lost would you have been happier with our manager? For all those above who were screaming for a substitution, surely on this occasion, the equaliser and the point vindicates DM?s decision not to make one?!

The entire team played well. This was a team effort with a point well deserved. If I had to give an award for MOTM however, I would have to give it to Leighton Baines. When we played the shite last, our defense was shite and the leftback position was our weakest spot. Baines was composed, competent and consistent. I really hope that Moyesy keeps him in our starting 11 (no disrespect to Yobo).

Great perfomance.
Howard had fuck all to do really.
Let's face it, it was a class goal from the whinging Gerard but can you honestly say that they had bags of chances and merited a win? It's another undefeated game and could cost that lot dearly when it comes the end of the season.
Jags and Baines were awesome and Piennar didn't stop all night. For fuck's sake give credit were its due and stop fucking moaning about everything you crying bastards. We have just took two points of them, we are undefeated in 7 and have conceeded 1 goal in 7 matches.

Yes, Jimmy, there was nothing on the bench really to change the game. I just hope Vic has seen the ToffeeWeb comments over the last few weeks and this has put the preverbial rocket up his rectum to make him try like he did this evening. Let?s just hope he can find yet another 10% on top of this on Sunday.

PS Did anyone think that Lady Body Torres looked a bit chubby.

Jimmy Crack, you?re off your head!

"I now know where Moyes gets the nickname ?Dithering Dave?. No substitutions (again) and no emotion from him until we were down."

Yes, and the 11 players he kept faith with pulled the game back to 1-1 ? securing us a great point! When a manager?s decisions don?t pay off, feel free to have a pop. But when the manager makes a judgment that the 11 players on the pitch have the best chance of grabbing an equaliser ? and they then do exactly that ? you haven?t really got an argument, mate.

Don?t often do this, but thought it was worth putting some player ratings out there for our brave performance today.

Howard - 7... a bit off his line for Gerrard?s goal maybe? Hmmm....

Hibbert - 6.5... defended well, very poor distribution, big heart though, like his spirit

Jags - 6... very solid for the most part... caught flat once, Torres should?ve scored on that, lucky not to concede a penatly, could?ve been a very different story...

Lescott - 7... not bad, some timely support to teammates in trouble

Baines - 7.5... if only he can get forward more. Has been criticised for his inability to defend in the past... looked pretty good to me today that?s for sure!!

Pienaar - 7... very good at times, needs a bit more strength in the body, occasional stumble when he could?ve been through..

Neville - 8... captain courageous, very big player out there tonight, intercepted, tackled, supported players in trouble, took the ball and distributed wide when needed a leader to stand up

Arteta - 7... solid, dependable, very very good set pieces all night, but not as influential as could be. Awesome free kick for the goal.

Osman - 5... for his potential probably the most disappointing of the night. Just got shrugged off the ball when we had 2-3 clear counter attacks that looked promising.

Anichebe - 6... give him a 10 for effort at times, but still needs a bit of polish. Not a bad effort...something to build on.

Cahill - 9... mate, he jumped and chested the ball down and tackled and competed for absolutely everything tonight. Can?t fault him for anything today. My Man of the Match.

Probably would?ve been good to see Gosling come on for Ossie at some point, push Vic up front. In games like this that are so tight, youth, pace and enthusiasm can sometimes crack it. Remember Cadamateri????

As an Aussie, very proud of Timmy happy to have his name on my jersey. People bag him about not being the most technically gifted player, but he never gives up and is a constant source of big match goals and there is nothing more valuable than that.

For 1.5 million he has got to be Moyes’s best transfer. We didn’t help the shite’s permiership claims but it would be so sweet if we could knock them out the Cup

Just back in from the evening at my local pub in Rotterdam:

Spent the game watching with a Red from Bootle and the banter was terrific. Then No Fod popped up with his usual 25-yarder and thought we were dead and buried. Laughed when the Waiter took off Ladyboy Torres and 2 minutes later we nab the equaliser. On the balance of play I can’t argue with a draw, and much more pleased with the fight and the fact we tried to actually have a go at them.

Man of the Match could be anyone from Jags, Baines, Pienaar or Cahill. Jags was solid as a rock all night and did well to put Torres off the sitter he missed. Baines put in a superb shift down the left, always dangerous. Pienaar was the liveliest of our midfield five and to me is a lovely valve to have. Notice how much better Arteta normally plays with Pienaar on the field than without.

Then there’s Cahill. If I supported any other team I’d despise the obnoxious, niggly, little git. Winds players up like there’s no tomorrow. BUT,boy can he head. The other thing that I took extreme pleasure in is pointing out to the Reds in the pub the absolutely dreadful marking. Absolutely no RS player picked Cahill up at all, he hung around 3 yards out, moved in front of Hyypia and had a completely free header.

Can’t wait for Sunday now - I honestly think we’ll do them after the confidence boost in the late equaliser.

Pride Restored tonight ? a much improved preformance by the blues. We went to Anfield and had the 1st half by a country mile. More shots on goal, more corners, more heart. God my mates and me were PROUD BLUES tonitght. the RS fans started to leave the pub at half time. They were shitting themselves.

Everyone put in a good shift but we were surprised most of our play was going down our right hand side and none down our left. Second half and it opened up. Still the boys were fighting for the blue shirt, the left-hand side became more of a outlet for us with Pinner and Baines becoming more of a threat. It was still scrappy so Arteta couldn't control the game but loads of commitment from the boys. We were very happy

Then the GOBSHITE scores. Unbelivable but did our heads drop? NO, WE BELIVED and GOD did defeat Satan. Saint Tim and Saint Arteta combined to deliver us from Evil. COYB ? let's win this... but time ran out.

Next Sunday will be our day, confidence gained from today and may be a couple of the youngsters on to win. Let's live the dream. Well done to all tonight... more of the same on Sunday, please.

Absolutely delighted with the point and can?t believe some people are not happy. The girl up front for them cost more than our team! Also can?t believe that Anichebe gets no credit for tonight (apart from the dive) he was excellent. Caused them all sorts of problems and actually ran with the ball.

Also amazed at people saying Arteta was quiet. Best derby I?ve seen him have by far. Defence superb all round. Only disappointments were Osman (anonymous) and in a way Pienaar ? he got around but seemed to give the ball away far too much. Maybe I was watching a different game to everyone else! Think the only thing to agree on is that Cahill is an absolute legend.

In the last third we had nothing. Anichebe should be ashamed of himself and deserves a bollocking. How about he goes for goal rather than a red card and penalty. Amazing. Very synical attitude for a 20-year-old.

Gerrard takes a clip on his right ankle and rolls around clasping his left knee. Ladyboy went down in the box too easily but couldn't disagree if ref gave it, just lame he thought he had to embellish it. Good for us though.

Now here?s something... If the same team is put out Sunday, I thnk AvdM on at 60 mins for Ossie or Anichebe would be FA Cup magic and put the cat among the pigeons! We need his... whatever it is.
7/10 on the pleased scale.

Does anyone else feel such a release tonight? All the wave of positive stuff about our chances tonight and then we pull it off? I was like everyone else when we got the equaliser ? I wanted the winner, but by God we scared the crud outta that lot. They looked frightened and that will carry into Sunday. They had 28 players on tonight capable of scoring and they managed one brilliant effort.

This is the time to believe, we are Everton! Knock us and take out our strikers, we will take the league pretenders on their own patch and show we are more than a match. Keane, Torres and Riera would pay for all that team but one Evertonian means more than 20 Liverpudlians (hell, that exchange rate was 20 years ago)!

Yes James, relieved as fuck. A draw is exactly what we needed to scare the shite out of the shite for the FA Cup match.

They looked vulnerable, insecure and plain scared. Keane, Benayoun and Riera are a complete waste of space right now. After pulling back and playing the way we did tonight, I know we can kick them fuckers out of the Cup. This was the game they needed to win and they are gotten to have conceded so stupidly. On Sunday, we are the more motivated side, because, let?s face it, the FA Cup is all we have left to play for. COYB!

If I found Tim Cahill in bed with the wife...

He always turns up for the big games. What would we do without him!!

The midfield were at fault for Gerrard’s goal, 3 of them pulled to the right leaving acres of space for the twat to place his shot. Can’t blame Howard.

Lescott (at LCB) was at fault for losing his concentration, allowing Torres his chance on goal. Jags was desperately trying to recover the lost ground from RCB.

We missed Fellaini. The RS looked far taller than most of us, and no matter how industrious or speedy our little lads may be, their short legs can only take them so far. Or maybe it’s my TV. COYB

Something other than that great result tonight - anybody notice that Richard Dunne picked up his 8th Red in the Premiership to tie with Viera and Duncan.

Just Checked - 8th November 1998 - Arsenal beat us 1-0 - and all 3 were on the pitch at the same time and not one red card - Although Dunny and Dunc got yellows.

Other news from that weekend was Liverpool losing at home to Derby. Some things don't change, others only slightly.

I love how I was worried all night about whether to sing and support Everton like I should as I was in Yates in Liverpool centre... but then the pub just started going sick with Everton songs... most of us in our neutrals.

We really are the best team in the world and the few Liverpool fans in there that were giving us all shit when they went ahead really did look like knobs when tim did what he does best. Gerrard scores important goals for them... Tim scores priceless goals for us. I love Everton and you should have seen my reaction when we scored in front of the dirty reds fans haha

Love you Everton and Have my tickets ready for the cup game

Great effort, blues.
