Hibbo's form...

Comments (7)

I think Hibbo has proven his worth to the team again. Players may well be paid a lot of money but maybe we should give them more time to find form when coming back from injury. Especially players like Hibbo ? he's a blue and one that could easily play his whole carear with us ? that's fantastic in today's climate.

Neville in midfield, now we have lost Carsley, gives us that steel and leadership we didn't have at the beginning of the season. Had Hibbo been fit and playing at right back at the start of the season, I think we'd be a bit higher in the table.

Hibbo's one of us ? when he comes back from injury or comes off the bench, his distribution can be frustrating but when hes in the team from the off ? he's a necessity I reckon. Undervalued.

Hibbo?s been impressive of late. I just watched him against Manure on Setanta. His tackling, timing and reading of the game was impeccable.

Yes... I think he has finally matured into his game and his confidence is on display.

Just back from the match, Hibbo was fantastic. Ronaldo was in his pocket for most of the match and ended up switching wings in the end.

Howard & Hibbert joint men of the match.

Hibbo is certainly playing with a lot of confidence at the moment, like the rest of the team and arguably had his best game today.

However, confidence is one of the biggest factors in football and players need to be judged over longer periods of time when they go through good and bad phases and play good and bad opposition.

Certainly a good enough player to have at the club but still do not see him as a Champions League quality right-back which we need to be targeting due to his distribution and crossing.

Always has been underated and over criticised ? Hibbert as part of an ?all English? back four in the top six of the Premier League (if it was any of the ?top four?, everyone would be going mental!). No coincidence that his return has seen our strongest defensive period of the season. He had always been strong defensively and has never been overwhelmed by any of the fancy dan wingers. On the contrary, Ronaldo, Robben, Walcott etc have all been subdued by Hibbert.

Good on yer lad, an honest player who knows his weaknesses and works hard on them. Maybe not an England player but a true Blue who is a key member of the team. Brilliant that he is getting recognition!

Spot on Daniel, Tony has always been a good defender but has been outstanding defensively since he came back from injury. OK he’s not the greatest user of the ball going forward but his pace is an asset.
