Cahill and Felli Start...

Comments (73)

So the two boys start.. I was worried about yellows for Lecsott and Cahill. Aren't they one game away from suspension.. Can someone clarify that if they do get booked, they won't miss the cup game as it takes 7 days for the ban to come into effect.. COYB.....

Can’t argue with the pen, Arteta knew what he was doing. We are getting plenty of joy down the left, shame the final ball is poor.

The mancs are doing what they do best, stretching teams, with some nice football. Vidic and Ferdinand are doing a good job on Cahill ( who is starting to look a little frustrated ) and Screech.

At the end of the day, we are still in it, and we know we are able to nick a goal.

Was also wondering if Screech has become scared of getting booked - he hasn’t looked half as good sine his second ban - een allowing for the quality of opposition since then.
However, still a chance in this game. Pleeeeeze!!!! COYB

Dodgy pen for that selfish child. No red card for a 2-footed challenge. No Pen for hauling down JL. The pen they got was similar to the pen that Pienaar won a couple of days ago... oh wait... We've been playing really well against all the odds recently but thank to crying and complaining from scum like Gerrard and Ronaldo etc and more Clattenberg-esque refereeing, we?ve ended with basically fuck all for all our good play and effort.

Without meaning to sound sarcastic or stupid, could someone please give me one good reason for NOT selling Anichebe ? he is awful, uninspiring, argumentative, and if he flails his arms up once more for no reason, I will personally run onto the pitch and drag him off.... whatever happened to the effort and the great running in the Uefa Cup last year? I reckon that if ever we get enough forwards in our squad he will be sold elsewhere at the first opportunity.

Come on lads, lets not go down that road, wingeing about the ref, as if we have been hard done by again.

As I mentioned above, they had a great penalty shout turned down, and Brown should have been sent off for that challenge, but Pienaar dived in with 2 feet on the edge of the box, and that could have easily been a red. So at the end of the day, they have evened themselves out.

Let's just look at it as a an off-day, and we must do better against the shite.

Brain Waring, I have to agree. They shaded it today and just deserved the result. As the 11 teams before us found, it is hard to breach their defence. I think with an on form Yak, Saha or Vaughan we?d have posed more of a goal threat, but our defence held firm and Tim Howard was magnificent.

Shame we got nothing today but a 100% effort, 95 min performance at the Old Lady on Wednesday night, backed by the 12th man of the Goodison derby cauldren WILL see us into Round 5 of the Cup and REVENGE SHALL BE OURS, versus Villa on road to Wembley! COYB!!!!
