Why does it matter?
It matters because our boy Mikel may end up with another award for his trophy cabinet (unimportant though this particular one may seem!). Call me crazy, but I’d rather Mikel pick up an award than Anelka. And it only takes about 2 seconds to vote!
I know it’s not a huge deal, but it’s always good to see our boys recognised - and it can’t do Mikel’s confidence any harm to pick up an extra award.

I just find polls like this stupid as it wouldn?t matter whether Mikel was the best of these players or not we?d still vote for him.
So really what I?m saying is, whatever set of fans vote the most is the player who wins it.
Oh and the prestigiousness of the award....... what can I say??
