Goodison

Amidst this piece on Moyes on the BBC website he says that as well as investment the club needs a "new, or redeveloped stadium".

I don't want to start a conspiracy theory or anything, but from this you'd assume Moyes sees redeveloping Goodison as a possibility. Maybe he'll mention it to Bill...

Moyes has been dropping that into some of his interviews for a while now after it became clear that Kirkby was not going to be plain sailing for the club?s hierarchy.

From what I can gather from rumours, him posing with that KEIOC banner in the states two summers ago, etc, he has a fair amount of sympathy with the stay-at-Goodison, KEIOC angle but knows that a) Kirkby needs to run its course, and b) it?s not really up to him.

With respect Sam, that is a bit of a stretch.

He also mentions a "new stadium" in the same breath, so surely he?s just covering all the angles.

I hope this isn?t going to be jumped on by people as more fuel to the endless stadium debate. Take it at face value, and don?t look for things that aren?t actually there. It could be construed either way by both sides of the debate and in reality is a bit of non-story.

ohh dont be so sensitive john !! anyone would think it’s a fair point from Sam and Moyes has said on the subject, "lets just say I’m a traditionalist" now thats a fact. But dont loose any sleep we’ll all find out when the enquiry finishes in November.

John, it kind of is ?actually there? and that?s my point. Bill?s party line has been to say Kirkby or bust, whereas Moyes is less definitive. I agree it?s a minor point though, and not worth arguing over so I?ll leave it at that.

It's been pretty well known and said by the club that plan B is redeveloping Goodison. But we don't have the money to do it alone so we?d have to find a partner, save like mad for maybe 5 years or so, or patch it up bit by bit. His preferred option is Kirkby.
