For those with no feed:

Beattie has looked pretty decent...strong...but ABSOLUTELY isolated up front.

Fellaini looks very assured on the ball. Looks strong. May be shaking off his back injury. Some good passing and clever interplay, esp with Jo. Still a lack of pace.

Usual ddecent stuff down the left with Baines/Pienaar

Pip doing well. Decent distribution. Tried to put one ball into orbit.

Oh, their goalie is having a shocker.

Peter Killey. Why did we take Cahill off? Primarily to give Saha 45 minutes as we build him up to playing 90 minutes... and secondarily to rest him. Oh, we concede a goal and suddenly the manager is a failure again. Stoke are having their twenty minutes. Panic not.

Jags isn’t a full-back, simple. The sooner Hibbert comes back the better. I can’t even understand why Neville can’t play fullback. We’ve looked shaky at best today.

Well, I remember the game against Hull (where we were also 2-0 up at half-time I think) when Fellaini collected a yellow card just after half-time which got him suspended against the shite . People were moaning he should have taken Fellaini off at half-time. Now he takes Cahill off because he has played a lot of games to give him a rest and give Saha some match-fitness and still people are not happy. Strange.

Are you guys insane.. All year you moan about Moyes not being aggressive and not going for the kill.. He does, puts in Saha, we make a couple of defensive mistakes and now all of a sudden its why the hell did he change the formation / take of Cahill.. Are you nuts.. Isnt this what we have been waiting for, Moyes being more positive and trying to put games to bed.. Further shouldnt we have a working partnership up-front.. Saha and Jo have hardly played up front together, so its logical that Moyes gave them a run together..

Moyes is dammed if he does and even if he doesnt!! Ridiculous..

Cahill had a slight knock so taken off as a precaution.
Also gave Fellaini a chance to drop deeper where he says is his best position plus Saha more game time.
Stoke can out with nothing to lose and we were adapting to new midfield.
We gave it a chance, obviously wasn’t working, so Moyes made the change and pushed the Big Fella back into arguably his best position, off the front man and Rodders took over in midfield.
We then started to play again and got the third goal.
I did notice Jags and Yobo having a ’chat’ a couple of times but as per usual Jags gets on with his job and is getting better at right back every game.Still like to have Jags/Lescott together. Is it a coincidence that Howard looks shaky again now Joe and Lescott are back together ?
3 more points. Hopefully no major injuries and we move on. Good result.

I thought there were a lot of positives today. Jo looked tremendous and linked well with Fellaini. Ossie looks back to form, Neville was solid, and Pienaar was all-action albeit with some poor final balls. Baines and Lescott looked pretty good and Tiny won all the headers defending their corners.

Jags lost concentration for the throw-in that led to the corner for their goal and Yobo really ripped into him. After that, Jags seemed to lose his confidence a bit.

On that note, the sooner we get a proper right back (Hibbo or Neville) back in there, the sooner normal service will resume.

I don’t know all the details, but on this day Goodison Park was witness to an Everton win over Stoke City. Tony Pulis has a team of no frills players but who work hard at you, and when Shawcross got one back I thought it could go against us here, but the team dug in and put a cushion between themselves and the opposition and I hope we were worthy winnners.

Still producing results despite the players out, and Moyes deserves recognition for this. Only downside of today was the Shite antics at Old Trafford earlier today. Never saw that coming.

But why did the rotund one have to open his trap?

We just saw why we paid all that money for Fellaini. That touch before the goal was absolutely elegant. And his passing was faultless most of the day.

Jo looks like he’s blending in, Osman looked like himself (finally) and I thought Yobo was very solid. But Baines had a poor day... plenty of room, especially in the first half, but every final pass was off target.

Moyes really made me scratch my head... I have no problem with subbing off Cahill, but why in the world did we not have a defender on the post for corners? I said at the start of the game that would cost us a goal, and it did. Almost two.

And here?s to Beattie. In the first minute he falls over, gets the hoo-raw from the crowd, and comes up grinning ear-to-ear and waving to them. He didn?t score for us, but he sure is a classy guy.
