Everton will wear blue at Wembley

From the Official Site!!!

Club officials received confirmation on Thursday that the Toffees will be able to wear their traditional kit, with white shorts and white socks, in the 30 May FA Cup final clash with Chelsea.

The decision was made after Everton won the toss of a coin.

Keeper Tim Howard, the hero of the semi-final penalties win over Manchester United, will wear a sky-blue jersey and black shorts. Chelsea will wear all-yellow.

Will we be wearing the new le coq sportif kits? Usually the last home game of the season is when the new kits are first worn...

I would guess that if Howard is in his ’baby’ blue outfit we will still be with the Umbro kit as his kit next year with the awful LCS will be grey

This will see 25 years since Ratcliffe lifted (wearing blue) the FA cup at wembley, and the beaten opposition Watford, wearing yellow.

A similiar occurance a quarter of a century later perhaps?

I actually dreamt last night that we were playing Chelsea in the FA cup final. This is as true as I am sitting here.

Only problem was, that Chelsea scored three times in the last ten minutes I remember and our opening goal I could swear was by Matthew Jackson. This is not made up. I really did dream this last night?!

Also, I should add I was reading a great piece about the two teams involved from the 1995 final showpiece before I turned the light out.

Absolute joke. If they wanna stop ticket touting make it a 50-50 split, that way more fans will get the tickets direct, rather than neutrals who don’t bother going and sell them on ebay. Absolute joke.

Happy to see we will be in our home strip, it will mean the footage will have that extra bit of class when we raise the cup.

I seriously doubt we?ll wear a new LCS kit because we?re contracted to Umbro for this season.

Plus with players being the supersticious kind I imagine they?d want to wear the same kit thats got them to the final.

I went on to the official site to read the link and spotted a real professional footballer standing in the picture, one Mr Phil Neville. I even showed my NUFC supporting colleagues at work what one looks like. Total respect for this man!

What respect and restraint when you?ve just captained (superbly by the way) your team to the FA Cup final but at the expense of your former and only other club. Class!

Contrast that with Rooney?s badge kissing when scoring against us!

Whether its a doff of the cap to bygone days of glory or not the new kit is bloody horrible!

If we want to reprise a classic kit we should have looked at the 86 white panel shirt - bring back NEC as a sponsor too!

Derek,

Not sure about B, WHICH IS A LITTLE BIT SURREAL BUT, A, i think is a well good move. As a nearly reseave team against Chelsea we frightened them to hell.

I have to say that out of any of the top four Chelsea for some reason fear usthe most. This is a phsycological thing and no matter what their manager tells them, they have a problem with Everton. It showed at Stamford bridge with the 0-0 draw.

Moyes will have sussed this so it may not be the team that is picked on the day but the mindset of the team that is picked, know what i’m sayin?
