Will anybody be going to the Final?

Don't shoot the messenger but something has just occured to me while I was reading all about the Swine Flu outbreak on 'tinternet. The WHO has now raised concern to level 5.... 'Pandemic imminent' status and all that as we know. If it goes to level 6, 'Panic stations.... Pandemic arrived' status, this comes along with a number of recommendations which include the banning (or postponement in a democracy!) of large public gatherings.
Now my experience of FA Cup finals is that they are probably the largest public gathering we have in this Country and I was just wondering whether, if this flu thing really kicks off, the Cup Final may be put off until the whole thing dies down. After which, if we are not all extinct, the game will be rearranged.
They have already done this in Mexico apparently and games are presently being played behind closed doors.
Just a thought

We may also sign Moutinho, Owen, Kranjcar, Love.. by then ?
Althought I would?ve thought the game would still go ahead on the same date, just ?behind closed doors?. That?s what the Mexicans are doing. Would be strange I know but you can?t have the cup final for the 2008-09 season being played in the 2009-10 season (when Chelsea will most likely have a new team!)
It is a normal flu virus that we have no inate immune system for, however it can be medically treated perfectly well.
The only reason Mexican’s are dying is because they are a 3rd world country, with a malnurished population and no proper health service.
If you’re scared of catching something, you’re infinately more likely to catch normal flu by going to Wembley.
People should not give credence to the media to report the news, but only a scewered version of it. They have a differing purpose to our desire for a fair and responsible source of news, especially when they are of a commercial venture... actually the BBC are dreadful also. Always decipher and read between the lines...
Right, I’m off to watch Michael Moorer, The Day Today and Bill Hicks dvd’s...
You’ll know if there’s a problem you’ll come out in rashers.
Won a hollday in Mexico but can’t go, I’m pig sick
I suppose you believe everything in the Daily Mail as well!! FFS!!!
Snout to worry about raised a giggle.
With the team having been down all season with injuries and all, I don’t suppose this threat will stop them now. Just for arguments sake it would be great if they could postpone the final and play it in say August, instead of the Charity Shield, a pointless exercise in itself.
I was incidentally going to have bacon for breakfast, but I think I’ve gone off the idea.
I hope that Swill do?
It’s hardly parmageddon.
There’s nothin for it,
PANIC!!!!
If thats true then now wonder we could only get 25,000 seats each
Then we have swine flu and have to kill all the pigs.
Come on god......... Please give us REDSHITE flu!!
Today is a good news day now that Elstone has sorted out the commercial deal Keith Swineness never did.
On another point re the Sponsorship deal, let?s hope our Chief Exec. is another gem of a find on the commercial side. He?s only young for the role he?s doing in Club so let?s hope we see more of this type of hard-nosed business coming through from him. Weed out the commercial shite, and cream off the readies from the Global brands who no doubt will be queueing up to be part of the Everton brand as it develops on the field.
Swine Flu causing fans to reconsider travelling abroad? No - this appears to be a sad reflection on their so-called fan base as I can't imagine any other set of fans in most other cities being so indifferent to their team. Having followed Everton for many years, I've always been proud of the support that they take to any away match.
Chelsea really must have the most shite set of supporters ever for a so-called "big?" team. I know we piss-take that they are lovey-diveys, Lahndahners, etc., but would anybody care to comment from their trips to Stamford Bridge as to what exactly their support is like, as I find it unusual for any club? Even Marine fans back in the 60's seemed to have more desire!
The end is fucken oink!!
