The Mail Bag

90 minutes away from glory

Comments (1)

Looking back to 1995, I don't really remember a lot about it, (too much beer) but this time around I'll be older, wiser and more sober. I'm taking my 10-year-old down to Wembley. (He didn't make it to the semi.)

One thing about 1995 that does stand out is that we went down there as the massive underdogs as the media dream final was Man Utd v Spurs. That game and this are similar in my opnion. On paper, depending what team Chelsea put out, we don't look like we can win... but team spirit, determination and the never-say-die attitude of EFC I think will shine through.

I'm nervous now but I'm going down there full of hope. Come on you Blues!

The first time I followed Everton was before the last FA Cup Final in 1995. All I wanted to do was follow the underdog. It gave me so much satisfaction to shove it up Manures arse. I have been following the boys intensley since and it is about our time. It annoys me that all the papers in Australia are about the top four (shit!). Without getting into the Moyes debate, I must say that this is the best chance to shove it up them. I have got my bet on UP THE TOFFEES!
