The great day has finally arrived, and the atmosphere at Wembley is building nicely...
For those of us who can't make it to the game itself, or just to be in the vicinity of Wembley to soak it up, all the best to everyone who has travelled. It is a rare and special experience.
It's fantastic that Setanta have devoted so much more time and effort to the build-up than has happened in recent years, and just picking up on it, they seem to be doing a far better job than Sky would.

Aye Michael, our right side is our weak spot. Malouda is a good player, but Hibbert is especially poor this afternoon. When we got hold of the ball in the middle we look far better. The heat will hopefully work to our advantage.

Being fair to Hibbo, the booking was Harsh and I think he is really trying to be extra careful which means he’s giving Malouda extra space. I’ve gto some Chelsea mates who reckon Malouda is man transformed under Hiddink, one of their best players over the last few months. It is hard enough to mark him without a card. Yep, get Jacobsen on!
Moyesy needs to take him off and get Jacobsen on - Hibbert’s a liability today. Awful.

Does anyone else think that Saha has given up since scoring his goal? I agree that Hibbert is having a bad game. Maybe bring Rodwell on and push Neville to right back. We can still do this my fellow blues.
The booking was a bit harsh, and it’s now a really tough decision for Moyes who, as we know, doesn’t do well in this situation. I suspect Hibbert will not be subbed until the hour-mark... if then, considering the possibility of extra time. But let’s see what Moyesie does.
The usual suspects are performing poorly and Chelskin are getting too much room. Hibbert is poor but needs help and Osman is not giving him much against the onslaught of Malouda and Cole. That’s where we are giving Chelski the momentum and if DM doesn’t arrest that situation it’s going to be a long second half.
Many Evertonians have been commenting on the weakness of the Hibbert/Osman partnership for a long time. The truth of these comments is indisputable right now. I expect to win this game, but only if our right side is changed. Otherwise, Chelsea will have so much easy possession that it will cost us at least one more goal.
Hibbo HAS to go off, feel sorry for the lad really-booking has his confidence shot. Rodwell into the middle, Pip to right back. Pip’s man to man on Lampard isn’t really workin either as Lamps is dropping deep, Pip is following him, leaving loadsa room for them to attack our centre halves. Nick, I think Saha has been told to not bust a gut unless he is in with a sniff of breaking the back of the net. If the Fro is hurt, get Rodwell on, push Cahill up and let him cause his particular brand of chaos. If we had some dynanism going forward (at all?) down the right we’d be a far more dangerous proposition. Maybe the chance for Danny G to come on and use his precocious energy?
