Double Standards?

Comments (5)

For the away game at Bolton I see we have been allocated approx 1900 tkts @ 32 quid each. Blackburn, for this Saturday have been given 2900, and have asked for more, all priced at 15quid! Is somebody taking the piss or am I just being cynical?

Nope,

Bolton are taking the piss. Surely to maximise profits as well. Never thought Everton fans were considered wealthy. All part and parcel of being a well supported team.

They are taking the piss but I can fully understand why they are doing it. We would sell 8-9,000 at £32 each for a local away game.

In addition, Bolton v Blackburn is a big derby so they have reduced the price for two reasons: 1/ they don't want empty stands for their derby; and 2/ Once people have been through the doors and they win, they will all be going back more regularly than they have done.

We aren?t exactly angels with our ticketing policies, especially in the cups, so don?t really think we can have a moan about it.

We?ve never done anything as blatant as this. It?s pure rip-off. But then we?re away supporters and therefore deserve to be treated as a lower form of life.

Our allocation is 1900 initially. I’ll bet we get more once they have sold out. As for the price difference, I can’t explain that - just count ourselves lucky that £32 is actually £7 cheaper than two seasons ago when Bolton really did take the piss. Wasn’t that the year Man City fans boycotted the Reebok?

Blackburn do it when we go there as well.

Simple amswer: for each club that comes to Goodison, price the away tickets in line with what the travelling Blues fans had to pay in the reverse fixture - after making some minor adjustments for the London clubs and the fact that our away end is pretty dire!

That’s £50 quid for Chelsea fans then.

I work with a number of Bolton fans. They are well under capacity for most games so tickets shoudn’t be a problem
