Wagner Love

Comments (8)

I saw an article on the BBC websiite football gossip and rumours section yesterday that Spurs had had a £12m offer accepted for the Brazilian and were confident he was going to be at their place in January.

Now correct me if I am wrong, but haven't we already secured the services of the player and he will be coming to US in January?

Help...... anyone!?

Tom, Did the summer of 2008 teach you nothing at all? It is all just so much bullshit.

Michael - how true!

I should have realised this, but I am a (too) trusting soul who likes to see the good in everyone. I really should know better, being a lifelong Evertonian!!

Do we really need Wagner Love? I?d much prefer we spent £12 million on a midfielder capable of controlling and passing a football.

Are we all going to be watching this space again? Well, not me; from now on, if there is no picture of the player in our shirt or any of the other photos we see of new signings, we have not got anyone. Billy Bullshit and Co can kiss my arse. Ssame with a buyer: until it's a done deal, I'm not going to get excited.

Billy, what’s the point of having a midfielder who can control and pass the ball if they spend most of the match watching it sail over their heads.

A couple of points:-

Point 1: The article saying we had agreed a deal for Love for January was just a gutter press rumour as surely if true the club would have confirmed it. Please don't be suprised that he is being linked with another club now.

Point 2: we constantly hear about EFC playing hoof ball and bypassing the midfield but that works both ways in that you need midfielders who make the runs, offer options to pass to and drop deep to pick the ball up and are comfortable on the ball. Until we have a midfield capable of that you cannot blame defenders for missing them out.

I read that he was going as well, but that was the day after the transfer deadline so who knows, could have been post-deadline bullshit!!

He isn’t the player he’s cracked up to be. I seen him play for CSKA Moscow a few times and the player himself has blue dredlocks which is a plus, but he is small, not very fast, lazy and not THIN. Robinho he ain’t...so in the wise words of Eric Cartmen "screw that hippie, I’m going home."

....Also, he is a center forward like Tevez or Jo who can play on the right. Not an attacking midfielder like Cahill.
