Having been out on the road today in the car, I heard on a local radio station whilst in Stoke that we have agreed a fee of around £6m for Vaughan??? This can't be true can it.... are we really this skint???

ps: Don't shoot the messenger, and I hope this ain't true.

Munch munch, the sound of Everton biting their hand off. A player who is injury prone and yet to prove himself at the top level and Stoke are offering £6million?

I suspect it must be for another player named Vaughan.

Well that’s a new one, and quite an unexpected link. I think Stoke would be mental to gamble £6m on young Vaughny... he’s looking pretty poor in the friendlies at the moment, and that’s with a full pre-season under his belt for once.

If there’s any truth, I’d be happy to see us raise that kind of money from someone who is very unlikely to make the grade.

Tell stoke right, that Vaughan is too weak and flimsy. What they need is someone big and strong, someone who also has youth on their side, someone who is Nigerian and with european experience is a bargain at 5m!

Yes, sell them Big Vic instead.

Maybe they’ll sign both of them!

I still have high hopes that Vaughan will develop into a quality striker.

This season is make or break for him though, however the least he deserves is a proper chance at full fitness. I’d rather sell Victor for £5m than Vaughan for £6m.

I think every Everton fan would love Vaughan to stay fit and fulfil his promiss. Sadly i dont beleive he ever will so if its true and i dont beleive it is i would be driving him down to Stokes ground myself if i was Moyes.

With his injuries £6m CASH is good business. You could have the potential of Diego Maradona, but if you are not fit enough for long enough what can we do but speculate..

I found the following link about the story. It is a Stoke fan is suggesting that there are a few clubs interested in him, maybe more to this than pure BS.

I’d love Vaughan to succeed for his positive attitude and enthusiasm alone, but I fear that he will not make the grade, even if he does stay fit - so I would snap Stoke’s hand off.

Vaughan is young and i think either a loan or a big money move (6 mill is a lot for his performance so far) for now is fine. I prefer a loan though, given what we expect from him.

Silly season is truly upon us!

If even remotely true I would rather they sold ’Biggus Viccus.’

Vaughan is quite happy being a squad player, is a diehard Evertonian and can still do a job for us. He’ll come good eventually so i’d prefer he stayed.
