Click on the link to see if you can believe the cheek of those 'get rich quick' merchants down the road! I know this is only paper speculation but the way City have conducted themselves in this whole situation makes you think there would be some truth in it.

If it is true then what part of 'not for sale' do they not understand? Surely it's time to take stand. How can the FA not act (oh I forgot, we'd have to be playing in red if they were to do anything).

Personally, I say if he (JL) doesn't want to pull on that blue shirt then go, but after what Moyes has continually said, this is just taking the piss!

Can we just sell him already, please. I understand Moyes’ position, we’re short at that spot to start the season and he wants him in there, or course. But I’m happy with putting Neville in there next to Yobo and getting the damn Senderos deal sorted. I’m just sick and tired, tired of these stories, tired of all the proposed swap deals, tired of waking up each day and checking the sites to see if he’s been sold yet. I’m just sick of it. I don’t wish Lescott any misfortune, but I won’t support him when he goes. Why would we, he wouldn’t be an Everton player any more. We need the money, Senderos could fill in until Jagielka gets back and we could add a quality midfielder as well as another player for defensive cover. Just get it over with FFS.

But I just can’t wait for world oil to run out and these Arab billionaires to fall and their toy football clubs to fall with them. It’s just ridiculous. Most of us are just trying to get by, struggling to make ends meet. But at the same time we pray for a billionaire, who earned his billions on our backs, to come save our club. It’s all just one big sick joke. But I guess that’s off topic, sorry.

Probably just a ploy to add insult to injury and typical of the shallow shites that they always were / have become in the 60,s when I mentioned to a my Gran that I was going to the city away game she warned me then to be careful as the were and I quote, ’ nothing but gobshites’ so nothing changes.

Wave about the loads a money wad and then try to save a few bob with the medical thing... If you are going to throw money about and at people at least have the decency to do it with a bit of style.

Once a gobshite always a gobshite.

David, I’m afraid your Barking (sorry) up the wrong tree.

It’s Dubai that only has a few years of oil left. Abu Dhabi has about 95% of the UAE’s oil & gas reserves.

So how stupid are Man City?

They have made two bids and been told the player is not for sale on each occasion.

The player himself has had a written transfer request turned down.

So why would a club who have made it absolutely clear that the player is not for sale then provide medical evidence so that Man City can put in another bid with an additional few million?

Really stupid - or I’m missing something.

Brains into Gear here please.

Give them medical records but doctor (sic) them first to show that JL has only one more year before his knee gives out.

City pull out of any deal and we have JL for the next 10.

I’m not sure if I even believe this story to be honest. Just the red tops needing to fill some space in the back pages... I know he had knee issues before, but since joining us, Lescott has been an ever-present player more or less hasn’t he?

So, we’re believing the mirror now.

Ok.

If this is the case, then I’d be surprised to see the sale go through given the real reason behind his long term injury when Wolves were in the PL and the state his knee is in. Yes he hasnt had many problems whilst he has been with us but the deep lying problem that the injury caused will still be there.

Its just so fucking boring isnt it?

I would just fuck him off now, I did want to keep him for a number of reasons, but now.....

As for our own lack of transfers, it does make you wonder what is going on. I like to think that DM is constantly trying to bring people in but to be honest, hes had since fucking April. There is obviously money there as the bid for Naughton proved. You cant honestly tell me that there is not a better right back available than Tony Hibbert somwhere in the world. I would love to know exactly why DM is becoming so ’demented’. Its so disheartening to check the BBC every day and the only story about us is the fucking Lescott saga.

I know people will blame BK for all of this but in my eyes, DM has got to shoulder some of the blame.

It’s NOT cheek it’s just BUSINESS.

I’m amazed by some of the comments that have appeared on here regarding the ’Lescott saga’ in recent days.
The NOT FOR SALE is just bullshit as Kenright , perhaps under instruction from his ’Ghost backers’ is obviously negotiating or has been on this. My understanding is that EFC have even officially admitted to him having a meeting with MCFC officials, ostencibly to explain he’s not for sale.
WHY ? You don’t have a ’sit down’ meeting for that, if you weren’t imterested you just wouldn’t do it.

This move is being carefully orchestrated to a timetable. Unfortunatey the vast majority of fans are being ’played’ into their expected roles and are reacting like the sheep our board take them for.

I predicted this in a post on here,
earlier in the summer, including today’s medical records ploy and am so far ’spot on’.
So how did I do this, am I ’ Mystic Marc ’ ? No but I’ve done enough high value buying & selling to know the way these things work.

Does all this mean that Lescott will definitely go ? No but if we keep reacting as they expect it’s getting closer.
Please don’t fall into the trap of booing or the classic ’ if he doesn’t want to wear the shirt, let him go’ loyalty crap !
If you do you’ll give Kenright the easy way out and Lescott will go cheaply as he desperately grabs for that last minute cash !

Oh calm down. It is probably bollocks. But back in reality...

Any fee for lescott will be haggled over come his medical (if he moves on). How do I know this? We did exactly the same when we signed him. Fulham did the same when they signed Johnson off us. It is called negotiation - trying to get the best deal possible in favour of your vested interests.

Lescott Vs Toure - Value?

I was just wondering what people opinion were on these guys compared value?

In my opinion Lescott should command a couple of mil more!

Dont let it influence your judgement but Toure was sold for ~16m.

Let’s all try and remember that any "deal" that Kenwright may or may not be plotting, will ultimately have the backing of Moyes. If not, surely he would walk?

I’m just tired of yet another false dawn. We should be pushing on, not hoping and praying our tiny squad can yet again perform miracles. All credit to Moyes and the lads for what they did last season. If Spurs don’t click and City don’t gel, we’ll still be fighting the likes of Villa and Fulham, maybe even Sunderland for a top 6 spot. Is that not just treading water rather than progressing?

Of course I’m aware that money talks and we supposedly have none. Oh hang on, what about the quoted £6m that we bid for Naughton? Where has that gone? ( please don’t imply it was a "dream" bid as Utd agreed the damn fee )

So where does that leave us? We have to assume we have at least £6m, yet Moyes has done nothing. Kick off at Kenwright all day long, he’s an idiot anyway, but let’s at least ask some questions of our manager. ( who for the record i rate and appreciate for the majority of things he has done for us )

We need bodies, be them quality or not. Sean Davis was on a free, not a world beater by any means, but he had enough talent that ourselves and the redshite were sniffing around him a few years ago. Was he not worth a punt?

Lorik Cana has gone to Sunderland for £6m. Maybe a risky signing considering his temperament, but his quality is still evident. He would have shored up our engine room and allowed Neville to cover at right back.

Bloody hell, even Hunt from Reading for £3m would have done a job. Again not the name he all want to see but he would be a reasonable SQUAD player.

The few names I’ve mentioned may not improve our overall squad ability, but they would be used to allow our better players a breather now and then. Something is better than nothing.

What are the bets that if Arsenal the Fulham defender that Senderos is part of that deal.

We’re dragging our feet too much and lesser teams around us are getting stronger. Someone at Everton needs to get a fuckin move on and fast.

Last bit, more on topic. I’ll be at the match this weekend, and regardless of the transfer request I’ll not be booing Lescott. I hope the majority will do the same. We’re better than that.

Edit: Apologies for the odd typo.

The question i didn’t asked but intended to was "What are the bets that if Arsenal land that Fulham defender, that Senderos is part of the deal"

Or words to that effect.

Don’t know about you but I’m fed up to the hind teeth with this Lescott shite. He doesn’t want to play for us FFS so fuck him. Get rid now. As for booing him on Saturday you won’t have a chance because he’ll come back from England duty with a slight knock or pull and won’t be available.

Brett Bradshaw - If we start at £16 Mil’ then add :

Premium for being English ( seems to add £4-5 Mil’ )
Excellent goal scoring record, maybe 10 in a season ( £4 mil’)
Naturally left sided & cover for left back ( £1 mil’ )
We are desperately short & don’t need to sell plus he’s on a long deal
( £2mil’ )
They desperately need him & have load of money so need to factor in a buyers premium to get their man early and need to cover Wolves sell on payment ( £2 mil’ )

By my reckoning that’s £30 mil’ or £20 mil’ ish plus Jo.

Obviously we’ll ignore the fact he’s got an elastic band for a knee & sometimes his brain cells spark but don’t connect at crucial moments in games.

If you don’t ask you won’t get so stick to this valuation until deadline day & see what happens. They offered silly money for Terry, a leader yes, but look at his age. Their alternatives are Distan or £15 mil’ for Upson and that is over priced. If they don’t sort out their back line then all their investment in attack is potentially wasted & Sparky will only get one more season to get it right.
Looks to me like he’s over a barrel !

Just seen this quote from Mark Hughes on the BBC site;

’’We are still trying to speak to the people who will ultimately make the decision over whether the deal continues."

So why has he not picked up the phone and gave David Moyes a ring then??

The stupid, disrespectful prick.

I just cant help but think that Moyes wont sell anybody because of the fact he won't get the full fees he recieves to spend on players and he knows it so he would rather keep what he’s got. I remember when we sold McFadden and Johnson, I dont think he ever saw any of that money did he or if he did he saw very little?!.

I mean who turns down a "big bid" for an injury prone striker of 31, and why would he want to keep a player that obviously doesnt want to play for are club anymore and not recieve a £20m + ? offer for him>

i remember he didn't want to sell Johnson but soon as Johnson told him he wanted to go back down south, he got rid?!. All I can think is that Moyes wont get the full fees to spend on proper replacements and therefore would rather keep these players instead!.
