Elm again

Comments (14)

More on Elm; he's evidently seeing AZ Alkmaar and Bayern Leverkusen before deciding on which of the clubs that have put in bids for him he wants to join. Heerenveen, Valenciennes, Everton and Fulham are all said to have lodged bids for Elm.

Good news (?): his brother Victor Elm is said to have told Rasmus not to pick the Dutch league as he thinks he "is too good" to play there...

Decision time next week but the player may not join a new club before the season's ended in Sweden?

Sorry Bernt but you honestly have more chance of Daffy Dodd admitting Billy Bullshitter is a two faced, lying, useless bastard, now if he was unknown, free and/or a useless donkey you might be onto something.

We haven’t had a bid accepted....

’No serious offer’ from everton is the official Kalmar statement.

Ciaran - It makes you wonder what Kalmar are playing at . I mean whats not serious about an offer of : 25 Euro’s ( payable at 1 Euro per year on TV money day over 25 years ), a 10% off your next Tesco bill Voucher, an almost complete ’match attack’ stcker book and a packet of Everton mints ( slightly out of date as the Toffeegirl forgot to throw em’ last season.
I’m mean come on give Bill a break, this is quite some deal from him but Kalmar are just unprofessional !

Apart from the original Naughton bid have we had any bids accepted for anybody ? Moyes has now admitted we desperatly need players (6 weeks after everybody else began to worry about our low squad numbers). We are the only team unable to find anybody in the whole world on loan or a free transfer. We must have a hell of a 1st team and subs bench if nobody is available. Wouldnt it be great if we actually sign somebody soon in 1 day like all other teams seem to be able too. Do we have any scouts around the world apart from spotting random teenage americans ?

Surely Mancienne from Chelsea would have been a worthy loan signing, primarily right sided and extra cover in the middle til Jags is back. Plus surely Chelsea would see it as a chance to help us take points off their rivals: well Arsenal and Liverpool anyway.

He’ll sign for AZ Alkmaar. Have you never heard of Dutch elm disease?

Gavin R, I’m seriously worried about you mate, every time you contribute to TW, it’s to tell us about your hatred of BK.

Do you dream about him at night?

Why not try writing an article for a change and try and contribute something a little more positive, or do you like being Mr Angry all the time?

Well the Lescott thing carries on and with no one signing yet a day before the Arsenal game the signs of here we go again shout loud and clear.

Heard it mentioned that we are interested in signing the Croat from Pompey — perhaps thats why the lazy hacks are linking us with O'Neil.

Still short at left back, right back, centre back, midfield and wide right! Not given up on Elm just yet.

I do wonder the grief that we might have had if Arteta was fit - would City, Liverpool, and Arsenal be causing the Lescott grief times two? If Alonso is worth £30m, it makes you wonder?

COYB - Moyes get them signed FFS.

I would like Elm, obviously he would be an exciting signing.

With a few days till the season and as Sky Sports says a £4 million bid has been posted for Damien Duff by an unknown club. It makes me think he would be an ok signing, we are in desperate need of width as we only have one wide player and he prefers to play centrally in Pienaar,

I post this not just for speculation on Duff but to express how its changed in the last month, from Moutinho to just anyone!! Bring on Saturday, and the end of the speculation, and the start of the football!

Steve, five days a week for the best part of the last three years I’ve worked with young men and women about to ship out to foreign fields, many of whom are repatriated in coffins to which not one single member of this current government has been to and many more who come home permanently and significantly disabled. So no, I don’t dream of Billy Bullshitter, but similarly I don’t live in cloud cuckoo land where BK is the good old Evertonian who saved us from Agent Johnson and is "one of us" and any other bollocks churned out.

I’m a passionate supporter who is fed up of seeing the club ran into the ground by a complete and utter self serving charlatan, for decades it has failed to develop and that failure lies fairly and squarely with the Chairman and his board. BK has been at the club for over a decade and the disdain he shows the paying customers is a disgrace, hatred yes, my choice yes, happy to continue with it, hell yes, until the day he pisses off, he is Everton’s Peter Swayles - a complete and utter clown prince.

We’re all passionate Gavin but you consistently demonstrate a hatred of BK that borders on sinister. The way you express this hatred on a regular basis is way too much. Lighten up buddy and as somebody who once worked for Swayles I can guarantee you there is little comparison between him and Kenwright.

Rasmus har ett och ett halvt år kvar av kontraktet med Kalmar FF.

Taken from a feature on the player on the Swedish FA Website - - -

and for those of you who have forgotten all their schoolboy Swedish (you mean it was not on the syllabus at your school?) it says he has a year and half left on his contract with Kalmar.

The article also says he is currently knackered having played 6 internationals (2 full and 4 U-21) in 3 weeks and was out of the full team for their match this week and also the Kalmar team for their match this weekend with Gefle. So that would be a failed medical anyway!

And Gavin - - "BK has been at the club for over a decade and the disdain he shows the paying customers is a disgrace" - - please name the clubs in the premier league where the chairmen and board do NOT show disdain for the paying customers.

I have written this on a few previous mails but this is not Tesco’s or T-Mobile. They treat their customers well, other wise they walk. Football clubs don’t have that necessity. We are just customers - they own the business. They can do what they like.

And the final stupid comment - if you don’t like it, do something. Why can’t you find the people with the money to buy him out? Like me, you can’t so learn to live with it. You ain’t going to change it.
