Bottom is what we deserve!

No puns intended with the title - but being at the bottom of the Premier League is exactly what we deserve. This is what happens when you fail to spend a penny and bring in any new faces.

Our injury ravaged squad, now one international defender down even on last season, is extremely fragile. For those who label us "Well run" and "living within our means" should be ashamed. A tramp lives within his means but that doesn't mean he/she is organised or "well run".

The bigger question is why a club of our size no longer operates in the same circles as the likes of Sunderland, Stoke or Bolton? Who actually made £10m+ bids for players during the summer. We're light years behind Spurs, Villa, Newcastle (pre-relegation), City and the Top 4 when it comes to player investment.

No one expects us to do a Leeds and gamble. But aren't the pro-Kenwright, Earl, and Woods people worried that for the 2nd year running our squad is weaker (and not just in numbers) than the end of the previous year?

When we were consistently crap (i.e. finishing bottom 8 regularly) we had an excuse for not spending much. The prize money for lower finishes is drastically less than the top 5 or 6 places. Now we finish top 6 almost every single year and have cup runs. But we still tread water. How does a club of our size and status consistently fail to perform financially against lesser clubs?

The only other team who haven't bought anyone during the summer is Portsmouth and they're second bottom —coincidence?

The bottom line is we've tread water for long enough and now we either sink or swim. Again, sorry for the obvious pun —- but IMO this fits perfectly to our situation. Forget NSNO .... "Well run" and "living within our means" should be on our crest.

The loan repayments can’t be too large that they swallow the transfer budget up. So...

A series of lucky results covered a pretty pathetic footballing end to the season... any fool could’ve seen we were in serious trouble on the pitch. Failing to keep possession and generally looking a complete mess in midfield — and we started this season exactly the way we finished the last... albeit without the luck (although lastThursday was a serious slice of 3 penalty luck).

And then we have the usual annual bullshit emporium from Kenwright... although this year he seems to have done it without moving his lips... like a decent ventriloquist, his puppet has done it all for him, and all he’s had to suffer is the shame of having his hand up someone's rectum.

The only surprise for me this summer has been that Moyes has been complicit in the usual dramas... he is big on honesty and integrity when it suits him — but when’s he gonna show a degree of integrity to the real fans of this club... and stop propping up the junket of some phoney fat grinning cunt, who has got away with fucking murder for years???

Moyes needs to get his priorities straight, stop playing the fucking victim and grow some balls for once... and pretty sharpish too!

His pissing about over the Lescott scenario was starting to really fuck me off... but then again — it’s all Man City’s fault... isn’t it???

This is a serious question: where is the money? The only rational answer I have ever been given was the paucity of our premium, high-end facilities, especially exec boxes where we have 6 plus a tent, compared to other clubs’ much more extensive offerings. But that understates our overall support, and does not take into account income from player sales.

So I will ask the same question: where has the money gone? Why has our debt rocketed despite the consistent high finishes? And what use was the outsourcing and securitising of all our income streams if it simply puts an even tighter straightjacket on our operations?

Most of you on here show no more loyalty than Lescott has. Try getting behind the Manager and the team for a change, even if they have lost the two opening games.

Patty, Catch a fuckin grip... the slings and arrows make us more than entitled to vent our frustration.

If you wanna play Stowe’s Uncle Tom to Kenwright’s Catcher in the Rye ’phoney bastard’ routine... then by all means grasp this pathetic nettle.

But don’t fucking dare tell others how they should behave in the face of this shambles.

Ciaran... Me thinks Tony Marsh had best look to his laurels!!! I think you are beating him hands down lately for griping about everything.

Like you state, Chris, there is no rational explanation to where the money goes. It is frankly scary.

The club have in my opinion overstated the value of these corporate facilities to get a Yes vote on the Kirkby move. The financial benefits are minimal.

Is there an exact figure for the debt? (Excuse my ignorance.) The way the money disappears, anyone would think we were servicing a debt of MUFC or LFC proportions!!

I like to think that I am quite a level-headed supporter but I am totally fed up of the Kenwright's rule that is tantamount to dictatorship of our club. The first sign of trouble and he is nowhere to be seen. He doesn't even have the decency to answer fair questions at the AGM or whatever he calls it.

This is in total contrast to the Kenwright of the good times... a la the FA Cup Final. You can't get him out of the fucking limelight, accepting the plaudits like he has made any contribution to them. Fucking pathetic.

Ciaran... and you can wash your mouth out with soap for speaking to a 69-year-old grandmother as you have just done. I was told the other day that you were only 13... God help us when you reach maturity because you certainly haven’t as yet.

When we talk about deserving to be bottom, we have the Banega shambles... only we could manage this, not only once but twice: first Wagner Love and now Ever Banega.

Ciarán. You are obviously not a huge fan of Moyes or BK, so there is little point in me trying to convince you that they are not doing a bad job.

The Lescott saga is primarily Citeh’s fault for not going through the right channels, and Lescott’s must share in the blame for talking to Citeh without permission. A clear case of tapping up which is in breach of FA rules. It has clearly upset Moyes who thought a great deal of Lescott and is feeling let down by the man, and his disappointment has obviously rubbed off on the team IMO.

We do need to strengthen, especially in the CB area, but we shouldn’t have lost to Burnley, and should have run Arsenal a lot closer with the players we had on the field.

Patty...

Oh yes, You were obviously told that by our local comic Steve Edwards... a guy who regularly complains about Evertonians having a go at each other — yet has some fascination with me being 13... a rather unhealthy and hypocrtical stance might I add.

Patty, I don’t care what age you are, or what your heirarchical family status is... If you're willing to tell others how to think, then you should accept the consequences, and in this instance that’s being told to give it a rest.

Maybe, at your age, you should actually know better.

Brian,

Your entire summary of the Lescott saga is conjecture. Please stick to facts - at least if you are going to present it that way. There is no evidence of ’tapping up’ in the public domain.

Similarly your appraisal of Burnley and Arsenal is fantasy that bears no resemblance to reality or fact... we are poor all over the pitch, and especially in midfield.

You can put whatever spin on it you like... if it helps you get through those long summer days. I, however, value reality.

Patty, loved your last comment, very amusing.
I agree with you, what we need is loyalty and support.

I’m still waiting for someone, somewhere, to tell me of the people who are clamouring to buy the club from Bill Kenwright.

Come on, Brian, whilst I believe you understate Moyes’s role in saying he isn't doing a bad job, to attribute this to Kenwright is lunacy.

We have no money until a mere few days before the window shuts AGAIN and the way our club is run can be described as nothing other than an absolute farce. We can all name the fiasco’s of Kenwright's leadership: Fortress, Kings Dock.....

All this "City didn't go through the right channels" is no more than a side issue. I hate to say it but I agree with Hughes. Most transfers are conducted at boardroom level. At City at least, Hughes I imagine has nothing to do with the negotiations on price.

On Lescott, yes he has been mischievous in talking to City behind our backs, and that is all. Let's not get ’holier than thou’ on this, it happens and we probably do the same thing all the time. Yeah it's tapping up but what can the FA do, bug every player, manager and agents phone?

The one thing what has disappointed me is Lescott's refusal to play. For that reason he has lost my respect. If he had gone to City, even post transfer request, but give his all for us in the meantime I would have wished him the best of luck but not now.

Fuck me, I've read some shite in my time but there are actually people on here who think that twat Billy fuckin Liar, is doing alright. He's doing his best for the club. Phil Green (Spurs fan), Earl (Spurs fan) — what the fuck are they doing anywhere near our club? Rooney for £50 mill, Kirkby, etc etc etc. For fuck's sake he's put a spell on you. Get a grip, and get fucking shut of the bastard.

I know Kenwright is some kind of theatre guru, but I never knew just how much of an expert he was at pantomines. I mean FFS "he's behind you David" referring to Kenwright and his dispaearing act this summer.

I have suported Everton for 32 years and although I live in the South, I still watch about 10 games a season either home or away. I follow with great interest the well being or otherwise of this once great and proud club and its current demise under Kenwright and his " cretins" of friends, Philip Green et al.

With all this shite over Lescott I'm pleased he has gone. I think Hughes is hoping to scare his opponents with Tevez and Lescott, when the new faces arrive at City, I am sure these two will be first in the queue, or they should be.

Taxi for Kenwright... in fact, can you make it a space cruiser and take the rest of the board! The current board are turning our beloved club into a laughing stock!!

No money, No direction, No new transfers! I'm sorry to depress you all but it's there for all to see! A new board and a fresh start is needed before it's to late. Bill Kenwright, you've given it your best shot; it wasn't good enough... do the right thing and sell! COYB
