Half time.... so far Fellaini has been MOtM .. winning a lot of ball without being blown up .. ref doing a good job... We’re a much better defense with Baines and Yobo... feel happy with Hibbert too.

Well after my rant earlier this week i’ll have to give credit where credit is due, Fellaini is having a really good game.
Europe seems to suit Fellaini game much better. Billy is doing well. Unfortunately, we didn’t really have a right side. Gosling isn’t up to this level yet.

i wrote an article 2 weeks ago after the 5-0 drubbing, wherein i said that everton look stale , lacked creativity and were craving a new direction. Todays performance highlights this even more . Outclassed, outbattled and deservedly well beaten by a decent benfica team.

Bring back big Joe Royle he would get the basics right, tactics, substitutions and maybe somone confidence in a few of those players.
Benfica havent got out of second gear, and they have shown Moyes and his players a thing or two about how important movement off the ball is. They pass and move at a quick tempo.
We hoof and stand, Moyes tactics are based solely on nicking a goal at a set piece ,which is fine if you can defend properly.
Apart from Gosling that was a strong team, so fuck blaming injuries, it comes down to piss poor coaching.
The other 2 sides are drawing at the moment, we just need a win against either of them. Surely we are not that shit yet.
