Great build up play then....they took their time passed it abit instead of crossing first time and billy swung it in but cahill only managed to head it straight at the keeper....Couple of years ago cahill would of scored that

Bily has adapted to the Everton mould remarkably well.
His willingness to track and nick the ball back is great to see.
As his talent is without doubt, but Everton require workrate and he showing it in abundance.

It’s shocking to see how few passes we play through the middle of the park- every time someone gets it in midfield it’s back to Baines and then some hopeful 90mph deckball or a floated one from nowhere near the byeline. Billy’s playing well though don’t you think

Half time.... so far Fellaini has been MOtM .. winning a lot of ball without being blown up .. ref doing a good job... We’re a much better defense with Baines and Yobo... feel happy with Hibbert too.

Rodders busy but making a lot of missed passes... after those goals he now thinks he can shoot from anywhere though... he wouldn’t even have hit the barn with the attempts tonight.

Not a bad performance... just need a Pienaar or Arteta to raise it up a level...

That Yakubu turn and shot... 2m to his right was Fellaini in front of goal.. oh well....

Europe seems to suit Fellaini game much better. Billy is doing well. Unfortunately, we didn’t really have a right side. Gosling isn’t up to this level yet.

Alan, they certainly dont do defending or tackling in training either, that is a joke. 4 of them around 1 man and nobody tries to put a foot in. Moyes should walk after this. i wrote an article 2 weeks ago after the 5-0 drubbing, wherein i said that everton look stale , lacked creativity and were craving a new direction. Todays performance highlights this even more . Outclassed, outbattled and deservedly well beaten by a decent benfica team.

Ed, I dont buy that ’keep him as there is nobody better’ nonesense.
If he cant do the job and he’s not producing we should get rid. Im sure there has been a thread on here recently about possible managers. Dave Jones would do a better job, his Cardiff side would pass us off the pitch. Plenty of good coaches out there. Arsenal had Rioch in charge who never really set the place alight and was dour so Arsenal got rid and replaced him with a relative unknown, nobody knew who Wenger was when Arsenal bought him in. Look at them now.....Sick and tired of watching this shit, its piss poor and shouldnt be tollerated.

Benfica havent got out of second gear, and they have shown Moyes and his players a thing or two about how important movement off the ball is. They pass and move at a quick tempo.

We hoof and stand, Moyes tactics are based solely on nicking a goal at a set piece ,which is fine if you can defend properly.
Apart from Gosling that was a strong team, so fuck blaming injuries, it comes down to piss poor coaching.
