Communications re Pienaar?

I know I'm risking repeating myself to some extent here, but' having witnessed last night's display I'm growing more frustrated at the Stephen Piennar situation.
Unlike some posters, I don't agree there was a lack of effort last night, the players on the field gave what they had in their lockers, it just wasn't anywhere near enough. What was missing, what the team was crying out for was even the slightest spark of creativity. Arteta's return is now a forlorn hope on the distant horizon. (If we ever manage to dig him out of Spain again — new baby, nice home, family round his wife and child or move back to the Albert dock flat? Go figure!)
So that leaves Peanuts, whose prescence last night could have been crucial. Here's a quote from the Guardian 28 September:-
"Steven Pienaar is almost certainly out of Everton's Europa League Group I match against BATE Borisov on Thursday but the club believe he is not due for a long spell on the sidelines.
The midfielder picked up a knee injury in Saturday's 1-0 victory at Portsmouth, and has been on crutches since.
Everton's medical team have assessed the injury and hope that it is just heavy bruising. They plan further checks this week and will have a better idea of the injury when the bruising has reduced.
Everton leave for Minsk tomorrow. Pienaar is highly unlikely to be involved and may also miss Sunday's home game against Stoke.
The physiotherapist Mick Rathbone said: "There's no timescale at the moment but hopefully it will only be something short-term."
Come West Ham on Sunday it will be six weeks since this "short-term" problem arose and we hear absolutely zilch about the player's progress. He's a forgotton man no updates on the OS's useless players/injuries section and nothing in the media.
This, of course, leads to rumours about the player being shut out due to not signing his contract, wanting to leave etc. all of which are probably nonesense but it's what happens when you don't communicate with people and it creates unease.
Anybody know what Piennar's real situation is?

I know this is a couple of weeks ago, but his comments dont sound like someone who is about to walk out.
But totally agree with you on the point of Evertons poor comms, maybe Everton are trying to address this with Baz’s Blog etc..
Also if I don’t have a right to know a players injury status the why on earth does the OS have an injuries update section? Pardon me for being naiive, but I’d assumed this was a vehicle for updating fans on the latest information on a given player’s injury.
Sorry, I cant agree when people buy season tickets, they are paying to see certain players, of course there can be no guarentees that the player/s will be available, but I think when a player is unavailable, the paying customer is entitled to an update. Howard isnt asking for promises, just the latest
I have to agree with him, he’s hardly demanding to see the clubs accounts
We may not have to know specifics but we deserve a dam site more than we are getting.
When Davey rode into our club he created the slogan "The peoples club"
its about time he & Bill remembered that and started treaty us with some respect!
You are all complaining that the club don’t tell you anything, I think you just don’t bother to look.

I agree we do miss him badly though, but then the other 7 injured players are a big miss as well!
