Maddock: Confiscate the shovel

Comments (16)

David Maddock, he just doesn’t get it.

In his last column he got nothing but criticism; stung by that, he has deliberately mistaken it for cynicism and from that point on it spirals ever downwards.

I don’t know where to begin, but he still ignores the white elephant in the room... for god’s sake Brian Reade is a colleague of his! Does he not see eye to eye with him? Have they had a falling out over Mr Kenwright? It wouldn’t surprise me.

If I was him I wouldn’t be dismayed by others having an opposing view; if the opposing view was superior to my panegyric then I would be dismayed. In fact I would keep quiet and follow the Denis Healy rules for holes, instead he keeps digging and we all start laughing.

It is a sorry state of affairs when you have to go to ToffeeWeb for an informed opinion about my club, but when Maddock and his journalistic cohorts refuse to listen, you are left with no choice.

Oi!

(1) Why even read that shite, and (2) whaddya mean "sorry state of affairs"??? I would venture that most of the correspondents to this website know far more about Everton than the likes of journo-hack pillocks like Maddock. Why even give them the time of day?!?

Oh, I guess we just did... c'mon people, there must be better stuff than this to write about! You know no-one likes it when I start writing items...

David, I’m not having a dig, so please take this at face value: I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t suppose there’s any chance that you could post links to the article(s) that have got you riled?

Say this with respect but what the hell is this about? Can you provide a link to the offending article?

On another note I’m on board with Michael’s comments. The offical site and newspaper rags are a poor second to Toffeeweb for any informed Evertonian.

This has to be one of the best places on the net to get your Everton news and I’m yet to see any better platform to discuss matters with fellow fans.

Who?

Michael it is the usual trend unfortunately. Our last game was a win and the most vocal posters who start threads are ones that like to, shall we say, moan a little, ergo the site usually goes a little quiet after a win and the Engerlund games never help.

I thought we’d all decided he was a grade A muppet and a piss poor hack..

Nothing more to say in my opinion...Let him publish his shite...who cares.

Anybody with a modicum of intelligence will avoid it.

Please accept my apologies for not providing a link to the post — I didn’t know how to it as my IT skills are copy and paste and not much more.

Can I have some techy help regarding inserting a link into an article? Thank you.

What makes me laugh is all these journalists who are so called experts about each Premier League club. In all honesty could Maddock say he’s even watched Everton this season? Has he followed in detail anything to do with our club? Has he read the arguments for and against Kirkby? Is he aware of the absolute shambles that is Everton’s transfer policy? Answer to all of those is NO. He doesn’t give a shit about Everton so will know very little about the club, how it is run and how the fans feel about how it is run therefore his opinion is utter crap.

The best shite I heard was that Yorkshire twat Darren Gough on Talksport yesterday saying Rodwell would fit straight into Chelsea’s diamond formation on the left! Clueless, he’s obviously never seen Rodwell play.

David, your IT skills are perfect. Open the offending article, copy the address from the address bar at the top of the page and then paste it into your article. You have more skills than you realised.

I hadn’t read the article concerned until I saw this little debate. What Mr. Kenrick calls "shite" seems to me to be well balanced and sensible comment. But then again I forgot that anything positive about Bill Kenwright on this website is verboten

Is this the article where he’s taking the piss, claiming Rs are envious of Everton? Bollocks part 2.

To Michael Kenrick. I did read Alan Clarke but I do watch Everton week in week out and I still think it was a fair article

This is a pre emptive propaganda piece as a favour to Blue Bill. It isn’t balanced or ’fair’ as it hasn’t been researched thoroughly. A quick search would show a lack of ’vocal’ support for Kenwright these days, but plenty of ’vocal’ animosity.
