It's not going to be easy... but each game as it comes. It would be great to smack Old Redface around the chops a bit. They are not playing all that well. It's all about belief, passion and a bit of luck. If Sunderland can do it, so can we!
Post the team sheet when it appears here, this can be your Matchday Thread. COYB

Howard, Neill, Yobo, Distin, Baines, Gosling, Rodwell, Heitinga, Cahill, Fellaini, Saha. Subs: Nash, Hibbert, Jo, Yakubu, Coleman, Duffy, Baxter.
Don’t know why, but I am getting a good feeling about today’s game - hope the boys believe it too
Yes Gerry - looking at the two teamsheets we should be able to do something. A Gosling winner would be wonderful, but you’ve got to hope that King Louis has a great game.
Any sopcast links for the match?
Thanks in advance
http://hqsportz.net/chan1.html working perfect
Adrian, looks like Channel 81774 (FS TV) are covering it.
69850 is in english and perfect COYB
7 mins gone.
They’re shaking already
gonna be a long game..COYB
Andrew Oxton what’s 69850? Could you give us a whole url? Thanks mate.
here it is
sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/69850
http://www.iraqgoals.net/ch5.html
http://www.iraqgoals.net/ch5.html seems to be working fine Ste.
United are really up for a scrap
Holding our own so far, keep the work rate & the concentration levels up & there’s something in this game for us.
Just saw a clip of BK
We’ve no chance if he sits like that ...in that coat
Sack everyone !
All we ever do is sit back. Tired of it.
First 20mins have been tough viewing. Utd dominant, and look in the mood to play ball. We on the other hand are backs to wall . . already. We have to change our attitude and take the game to them. Come on Davey, five in midfield is pointless if they’re not winning the possession stakes. Saha looks lively but is totally isolated. Switch to a four man midfield, stick Yak up front, and lets have a right go. If we go down, at least we’ll go down fighting.
Here we go... Hmmm, this is going to be tricky to turn around.
Guys any other links?
Thanks
can’t do much about the goal conceded :(
I agree with Mark. 2 up front
I’d have thought there would be more links that the iraqgoals one which is rubbish and the sopcast which I can’t get to work but whatever this game sucks.
The ESPN commentators are twats. A free kick against Fellaini was "defininate" (it appeared the Man U player jumped into his armpit, i.e. he’s shorter than fellaini), whereas Vidic’s swinging Elbow into Heitinga’s face is "just part of the game". It is nothing new, but maddening all the same...
United have had 71% of the possession apparently according to bbc, says it all really. Come on dithering dave, be adventurous.
Our usual pathetic perfomance against United.
just another damage limitation exercise. Come on DM!
Although, the kinky afro’s tackle on Fletcher was shite...
Its not even close, its like men against boys..Two up front, cant see it, this was always going to be a smash and grab. We are still playing for the draw, COYB
The commentators have their tongues so far up Man U’s collective arse, they’re licking the eyebrows.
Kieran Kinsella - it’s probably your firewall settings that are stopping sopcast from working. :)
Great performance by Heitinga so far, his long range passing is fantastic
The goal was inevitable, was only a matter of time. Will be doing well if we get to half time just the one down. Louis must be fed up with no support. Moyes has to change shape, personnel, attitude, something. Or the second 45 will be a carbon copy.
I’m loving the "leave Louis in their half, hit him early and hope Cahill and Felli can get up to support before he gets tackled by the entire United defence" tactic. No really, it is clearly the way forward.
Roger, its unbelievable, the dick head i’m listening to is almost banging one out over Man U.
Christ its so fucking boring though isnt - if we were 1-0 down but had hit the post 5 times then id be fine with it. But its judt defend defend defend. man u can score all day long against this shit
We are poor today, it looks like they have an extra couple of men on the pitch and a lot sharper. Saha up front on his own must have a huge pain in his bollocks.
That was awful. Moyes must change the system for the second half.
Luckily i will miss the second half as we’re going for a Thai meal and a few pints. The way we played in the first half i predict at least 3-0 to MU. Fuck.
Smash and grap ? You mean hope for a fluke ?
This is not even playing for a draw.
It is playing to keep the defeat less than 4-0
I’d prefer to lose 10 -0 but at least have a go rather than play this way.
By the way...quick poll:
Who is to blame
-Injuries
-BK
-DM
- Obama
Other
Vote now and save line after line from Marshy after this
Our usual pathetic perfomance against United.
I’m tired of being relieved we’re only one-nil down. But that’s just the feeling this team leaves me with. Apart from frustration. Someone posted on here the other day about a game v Man Utd a few seasons back where we really went for it and were unlucky to lose to 3 late, late goals. I’d rather it was that than sit back and invite them to attack. Come on, get at them!
http://www.veetle.com/viewChannel.php?cid=4af0721aa8367
veetle has a perfect picture.
The game is less than, we need to change it up for second half
If they counted possession handed back to the opposition we’d be top of the league by miles - SOMEBODY find your own player - please.........it’s driving me insane on this couch!!!!

Ian McDowell, wishing for players to be injured shows a distinct lack of class and is not appreciated on this website. Get a grip, lad.
Fellaini is a £15 million liability, a red card waiting to happen, slow, limited vision, poor passing. The system needs changing more support up front for Saha
Ive got the Russian stream
zulu.mk/live/8
a bit halting, but you’ll see most of the game.
For all their ’dominance’ their keeper has made the only save of the match. No keeper could have saved the falling backwards volley which normally ends up in row O.
Ged - You have never seen BK and Obama in the same room. Thus, they are the same person. Blame Obama! Or is it BK?
Typical Moyes attitude - defend, defend and defend again, small club mentality and embarrassing
Surely nobody can be surprised with the way w ehave played. Its the tried and tested moyes way against the big 4 sides, Shit himself, get the team to sit back all game and hope for a free kick or a corner. Teams this season that have got or played well against Man Utd have got into them but Moyes would never dream of attacking away at Utd. Watch next week as we face Liverpool in aterrible run of form we are at home. How will we approach the game ? the same way sit back and defend and watch Liverpool refind their form with a comfortable victory. total shite this season, gutless but no worries injuries are to blame not Moyes he is never at fault.
According to the commentators we are ’disciplined’..I an only interpret this as ’toothless.
Heitinga does a fine impression of Titus Bramble...passing it to oppsing players on the edge of his own box...25 minutes before he gets a touch and then he does that twice..
Long range passing..I’ll assume that was sarcasm.
Twasto be expected...two defnsive mnidfielders..an attacking midfielder who can’t pass playing as a winger and sod all creativity..
poor old Saha..he’s trying and so is Fellaini ..
Men aganst boys..
Star wars is on.
So BK was seen on tv during the match, i didn’t even realise he was still alive as he’s been keeping a rather low profile during this crap season, im sure it WONT be the case if we win the derby next week. Tosser.
.... and by the way, Fletcher should have been booked for simulation when he got Fellaini booked.
To anybody still looking for a link, don’t fuckin bother. I’ll tell you how the games going. Same as usual. 11 players in blue looking terrified of receiving the ball and running round like headless chickens. If David Moyes doesn’t change this pile of shite at half time he needs fuckin sortin out. I’m also a bit fucked off that none of the players who were supposed to be back for this game are back. WHERE THE FUCK IS PEINAAR!!!!! This is embarrassing. I’m not watching anymore. 71 to 29 was the possession in that first half. Why should i put myself through it. Saturday night and i’m fuckin well annoyed.
Don’t know why, but I am getting a bad feeling about today’s game
Keith, how did Fletcher get Fellaini booked? Fellaini got himself booked with a twat of a tackle.
I’ve watched so called ’lesser teams’ visit Old Trafford and have a real go at Utd. Yes, most of them will lose out in the end, but it’s great to watch Utd on the back foot and defending fiercely for periods of the match. Surely the ’5th best team’ in the league can do the same. At this stage does anyone disagree that it’s not worth the gamble?
FFS.. we are getting over run because we are playing united.
We need to take our opportunities but I feel we seem to waste the ball when in possession too many times.
I do agree that we need 2 up front however but that will put pressure on the midfield.
So its take the risk and go for it or hold in midfield and hope for the chance. Either way its gonna be too tough. Personally I say fuck it and go for it!!
John Martin, "Surely nobody can be surprised with the way we have played. Its the tried and tested moyes way against the big 4 sides" - totally agree and look at where that has got us - 19 matches without a win against the sky 4.
29% possesion is embarrissing. But its not Moyes fault its injuries. Well thats what some will have us beleive. imagine if man utd were as good as they have been in recent years or had Ronaldo ? I might have understood Moyes negative approach.
David Moyes has done really well for us since he came to the club. But we need someone who likes to play football. This is not good enough anymore. We should give him the rest of the season and then during the summer replace him with someone who is more adventurous. Just really tired of watching the team playing not to concede and anything after that is a bonus. Sorry rant over.
Its only a matter of time until we concede. Our players just have not got the ability to keep the ball.
Thats better, come on blues
Ged, You don’t think... surely not.. that because we never see Bin Laden, Obama and BK in the same room, well, that they could be the same person?????
I don’t know how to handle these revelations...
Back to the game, well, we seem to be having more of a go. Second, thank god Owen has left his shooting boots at home....
woah...possession up to 37%...
manna from heaven!
Much more positive this half. Nothing to lose and Manure is looking suspect at the back.
Three things going wrong with Everton
Confidence, confidence and... confidence
Man U are nothing special... some good players but not the great team they once were.
Moyes’ tactics is playing Man U of 3, 4 years ago... NOOOO!!!..... GET AT THE FUCKERS!
Keith, just logged on to the Zulu link, the others all died on me. One question, why is there a pic of Michael Jackson, top left of the screen?
When we have a full team I think Heitinga may be in it
Doesn’t Moyes realise that we always look better playing 442, but why does he always wait until we go 1-0 down before he changes it.
At least we are showing a bit of a threat now.
Luke’s done it. The death star has blown up
I really want the Yak to score. For no other reason apart from the fact that it has been a long time since he potted in the Prem. It would just boost him and inch him along in his recovery. Maybe it is the wine speaking...
Is Arteta in the crowd or something?
DARREN Ferguson? IDIOT commentator
Jimmy, may the 4th official be with you.

Better second half blue boys; lets sneak an equaliser! the evertonians are singing their hearts out!
Interesting sub by Alex Ferguson.
May the force (skin) be with you all.......
tough run of games coming up...we defo need to beat Hull next week.
What the fuck was Felani doing there? He sould have put it into row fucking Z!
You play shite you get beat - simples
Just like our manager at times against the top teams.
Fact is...the pass for the goal is something this team of ours would never have had the calm on the ball to do.
But that is why these lot are up there
The mancs singing feed the scousers..your front two are scousers, fucking pricks
wish i could fix it for Moyes to have a win against a top 4 team.....
Very poor....just when we started to look like a football team.
Concur with Ged. The 2 goals scored by Manure are fantastic goals and we would have wet our pants if our players were to score those type of goals.
Getting sick of watching the same old rubbish week in week out. Our tactics are too predictable and never change.
Just when a distant sense of optimism was creeping back in, we go and concede a second .But I hope the lads keep it going now and show a bit of pride in the shirt. And throw on one of the youngsters for a bit of experience.
They were great goals by a team that plays football. But this is the most vulnerable man utd team in 20 years and if we had a manager with a bit of bottle we might have gave them a game instead of our usual surrender.
John, did you see the names on our bench? How ’unpredictable’ do you want us to be?
I agree John Martin. You hit the nail on the head there.
butter and hot knives..........................
fuck it
Wilson even when we have a a better bench he will still play a defensive game, which just invites teams onto us.
This feels like we’re a non-league team playing against the champs in a cup tie. Rubbish. Tactically inept, a manager out of his depth?
This Man utd team has struggled for goals all season, they get 3 against us. Still Moyes is the messiah, IMWt and all that crap. I will spend the next week praying Torres isnt fit because he will rip us apart next week.
getting dicked by 3 & we have Jo & Hibbo warming up according to Radio Merseyside - can somebody tell me why?
Distin through - with yrds of space ahead decides to pass - straight to one ot hem...AGGGGGGHH
Wilson, it’s nothing to do with what is on the bench, Moyes has had us playing the same predictable shite for the last 7 years.
Its ok its not Moyes’ fault its the injuries. Wins are thanks to Moyes defeats are kenwrights fault or injuries.
whats more annoying?
1. watching this shite
Or
2. Having to refresh iraqgoals every 2 minutes to watch this shite.
Jeez guy I understand it’s frustrating but did you really expect us to be a great team when we have so many players out injured.
Oh for Lee Carsley, we sure do miss him.
Their are only a few minutes left so we bring Jo on to replace Saha. No problem with protecting Saha but why not give Baxter a go, he may not be good enough but lets find out, we already know Jo is shite
Give Max the big clock, for the first of the many injuries excuses.
What on earth can we take from today?
Tactics. With a poor team....you attack and get cut to pieces. You defend, and don’t score.
All boils down to an injury ridden squad, no confidence, playing a good team.
And finally, the sad truth, that the top 3 are better than us...
We are a soft touch. How have we become so easy to beat again (remembering a few years back) Cant be lescott, can it? injuries? maybe. Discuss
How many times will Jo fall over before full time. Answers on a postcard.....
Jesus, the result is beyond doubt. So why not throw two of the youngsters on for a bit of experience in the last few minutes. Next he’ll switch us back to one up front.
Completely agree with you Brian. This brand of football only gets you so far.
Everyone thinks we are going to turn into a great team as soon as the injured players are back..I am not too sure!!
Do you think wehave enough to stay away from relegation?
The body language of most of these players is shocking. Who is responsible for motivating these players?? 1 PERSON!.....IF we get severely turned over by the shite next weekend Moyes should fuck off. I’ve just about had enough of the cunt and his brand of football!!!
Max this man utd isnt a great team its a good team thats all. Most of us just want to see us having a good go at them instead of our usual meek surrender
Max, there are 8 full internationals in the team today - they should be able to play better than this. They look afraid though, no composure.
You should have watched Star Wars instead at least get some entertainment, you know DM is never in a lifetime have the balls to go for it against one of the Sky Four, he’s had seven fucking years and counting so it’s not a surprise.
No fight anymore. If moyes is as fed up as he looks then its bound to affect the players. Spreading like a fuckin virus.
Ged its not just the top 3 that are better than us, Liverpool, Man utd, Spurs & City are as well. Sunderland may well be too. We will get better when Arteta & Jags are back but i’m not expecting that form till February. We have a small squad will we sign anybody in january ? if we do itll be last week as usual.
The injuries line can only be used so far & obviously we would be better with Arteta et al. Its a combination of injuries and a failure to make best use of what we have & we have some good players & this has to be down to the manager.
Just think, they will never be able to sack Moyes as they wouldn’t be able to pay him off!
Roll on the next 5 years!
I meant villa are better than us not Man utd, obvioulsy they are miles better
Its worrying that the teams everyone thinks will go down look better than us.
Moyes, you fucking clueless tactical retard, go and manage Scotland and stop holding Everton back; you are fucking useless.
I agree John. Just couldn’t talk about The Shite.
I think we should pehaps go for that Wigan manager .
No Neville no fight in the team. Makes me laugh when people wanted Cahill or Yobo to replace him as captain. Moyes the messiah will save the day i am sure
The death star is fucked..aparently the empire allowed Mr Vader to put three right backs in charge of it,,,,,
"Let's have a right go. If we go down, at least we’ll go down fighting". Posted that at start of game. Now here we are 3-0 losers and this after a defensive performance. No doubt Davey will defend his tactics and tell us how good his buddy Alex’s team is. I’m just getting tired of the same old drivel.
Yeah the Wigan manager would be a great move and he wouldnt cost much.
I don’t really know what people expected to see. Did no-one predict one-way traffic and a sound defeat? They needed this, we needed not to be embarassed. A sad but true indictment given our current malaise. To call our manager a ’cunt’ seems harsh.
Why do we replace with the same old same old? bringing forwards on to play in other positions, when we have subs who play in them positions.
Nothing to lose so give them experience FFS.
’No Neville no fight in the team’
-----------------------
somebody, shoot me.
Ste, I expected to at least have a go.We knew before the game that a defeat was probalby on the cards, but to just fucking roll over is just taking the piss out of those fans who spent their hard earned cash.
Probably the best group of individual players since Howard (first time round), but probably the least enjoyable to watch - no buzz at all anymore.
I’ll be at the KC but my 30 plus game a season loyalty is wearing pretty thin. Mikel and Pienaar are big misses.
David - you had a ticket but didn’t go???!!!
In answer to the title question at the top of the page.......NO. Come on blues we need more next time.
That game was like all those bad prison movies when the weak skinny guy gets put in a cell with a huge redneck called bubba.
Just have to erase that one from the memory banks.
Typical gutless Old Trafford defeat. The shite haven’t won for ages so it's a dab hand they’ll end that next week and be able to rub our nose in it regards the dreaded green light for Kirkby at the same time. Dire times indeed!
This one was a forgettable match, that’s it. We never looked like we were going to get anything from the game. I don't understand how inferior teams get results at OT and we never do well there.
Our defence was ok but we played too deep. Saha was good in the attack with no real service or help. The problem was the midfield or basically the lack of it. We had two holding midfielders (defenders by trade!) who played very deep.
Fellaini is no playmaker so we had no threat from midfield. He looked lazy and uninterested. Gosling is too young and may not ever make it. Cahill tried but his best position is the other striker playing behind the centre forward. That left us totally helpless against a pretty mediocre ManU side which scored from about every decent chance they got.
There is no accusing the list of unavailables: we had 13 professionals onboard, only flair and guile was missing.
Howard (7): did what he could .
Neill (7): OK, solid defending and much more better passing than Hibbo.
Yobo (6): Did Ok too, but some dodgy moments.
Distin (7): Good overall.
Baines (6): Not one of his better games.
Gosling (5): Not there yet.
Heitinga (7): He moves like a carriership but the passing is great.
Rodwell (6): Not so good as in some other games but the promise is there. He turns more quickly with the ball than any player in the PL.
Fellaini (4): we have to get rid of him.
Cahill (6): Tried but no end result.
Saha (7): He was very good in a very difficult situation: he tackled, won headers and overall wanted to score against his old club.
Yakubu (6)sub: It was nice to see Moyes trying to change things early. One of the most intelligent players around, but he’s still not the same he was a year ago.
