Tonight's scores on the doors!

I am going for a dour game 0-0 tonight... Moyes will play 5 in midfield to snub out the threat of Hull's dynamic midfield, but he knows we have one of our pacey strikers ready to pounce and hit the boardings.

Good news: Fellaini is not on the pitch, normally the phrase is "not playing", but does he ever play? Osman on stilts to go along side Bambi on ice (Jo) — Worldclass and brimming with attack minded pacey players

No doubt a shite performance and with Hull in confident mood I would be happy with a 0 0 draw. Clean sheet, nice point, loads of injuries, thank you very much! :-)

Tonight is a game we desperately need to win with the run of fixtures coming up like Liverpool and Chelsea so Moyes needs to play his best remaining midfielder, Cahill in his best position, centre mid! not outwide ffs!

If Pienaar is not fit why does he not try Baines left midfield, he would do more than Chaill and might beable to get some crosses in. We’ve got enough defenders to fill in at left back against a poor Hull team, Lucas Neill or maybe move Distin there? Or has Moyes got no imagination at all and is planning to just play the same unsuccessful tactics once again whilst destroying Tim Cahill! I think we should also go with 2 upfront and its about time the Yak or Bambi produced (he looked good when he came on last time against Man U).

Can’t remember if i have ever dreaded a game against Hull City...

While I can see goals in our supremely rapid one man band up front, i can’t see the defence keeping a clean sheet with no support from a midfield that must be colour blind.

I would love Jack Rodwell to model himself on someone other than vinny sideways and FFS moyes, why give Gosling a mentor like Osman?! He looks more and more like him everytime he plays...can you imagine the mentor sessions...
’right Dan, get the ball off hibbo - you might have to jump for it. Then take it down to knee height, dodging the oncoming midfielder’...’right mate’..’then turn towards their goal, and to be extra tricky, turn back towards ours - gets them everytime! then when you have the time, turn again, and without looking up play the ball to anything not in blue..’ ’but Leon, aren’t i supposed to play it a teammate’...’shush lad, its the element of surprise...the opposition are expecting you to pass it to a blue shirt so they mark them ones!’ etc.etc. I’m not even going into what my derranged mind thinks Yobo says to his defence...

Tonight?

We get beat 2-1.

Moyes throws in the towel immediately after the game.

Tomorrow afternoon ’JOE, JOE, MEXICO!’ is named boss.

Sunday, we beat ’them’ two nil.

Our Russian winger gets both goals.

NOTW Sunday - "Royle King!"

Next year, we beat Utd 1-0 in the cup final.

Hibbo piledriver into the top corner despite playing with an injury securing a comfortable win.

Well, we can dream. I fancy us tonight. Cahill is due and either him Yobo or Distin to put us a couple up from setpieces. Bullard to fluff a chance remembering how he laughed at Big Dunc a few years back. An own goal in the last couple of mins giving us all brown trousers but sneaking away with the three points. Get a quid on it.

Enjoy lads and think positive!

Where is that old Everton fighting spirit, that never say die in the face of the enemy backs to the wall sort of stuff, where as it gone?
Up boys and at em should be the catch cry for tonight and the wekend.
Is there something in the laws that says we must play only with 1 or 2 strikers.

We are usually second best in the midfield and its a waste of time lumping long balls to a lone striker so why not cut out the midfield as much as possible. Play with 3 or even 4 strikers and give Jo Yobo and co extra encouragement, if any where needed, to launch as many long punts as possible.
At least Hull would have something to worry about. They might think we have gone mad.
Whatever style we play please please let it be with a bit of spirit.

How about an on-pitch half-time dressing down - I hear that works wonders for a side’s season.

The three goals have been a tad unlucky — rebound falls to their player, screamer from a free kick that wasn’t, double-deflected third goal - but can we really complain?

Where is the attacking quality? Can’t blame injuries — Pienaar, Yakubu and Saha should scare the living bejesus out of their defence. But no, it’s Heitinga and Rodders in midfield — WHY? Did we buy Heitinga to unlock defences? No.

Cahill should be playing centre mid with Rodwell, Gosling on the right would surely be better. No point getting Arteta and Jags back if we’re fighting a relegation battle at that point. And it looks like we could be.
Defence can’t defend, midfield has no creativity and two out of three of our strikers look like their wading through treacle. WHERE IS THE BRIGHT SIDE?

Oh and to those banging on about losing 3-0 to Hull, make no mistake this could easily be 5 or 6. Soft-centred isn’t the half of it.

We all comlain about 442 or lack of but it obvious we do have the players, pace and vision so Moyes makes the best by playing 451.

My only criticism of Moyes is his loyalty - he should have spoken out years ago and wouldn’t blame him for walking.

All these people shouting for Moyes to leave, were was you with the comments when we reached the FA Cup Final last season? beat Villa to 5th place twice in a row, beat Liverpool to finish 4th in 2005??

You know, I haven’t been an active contributor here, but I’ve read a lot of the posts and I have to voice my opinion and I’m sure I’ll get clobbered, but I really don’t recall all this "Moyes Out" crap when we went to Wembley last year - there are some oh so brave souls on here who for whatever reason simply don’t like the man and see this as an opportunity to kick him while he’s down. There are even some of you who when we are having success complain that "yes, but he’s not playing pretty football." Give me a break. You know what - without the man we would have done a Newcastle 7 years ago. And as much as you don’t want to blame injuries as the cause, the fact is they are. There is not a club on the planet who could withstand the injury crisis we are having to endure - NONE! We’ve got players who haven’t had any rest since the season started and are exhausted because there is no depth and Moyes is doing the best he can. And the players he has left are being forced to play out of position or he has to call upon lads who are not ready and this is the result. And don’t give me this "putting on the blue shirt should be enough" or "they make this much money so they should be properly motivated" stuff - fatigue and injuries hamper performance, it is a fact. We get Pienaar and Yakubu up to fitness and then get back Artetea, Jags, Neville, Vaughn Anichebe, and Osman; get Bily and Felliani back from suspension and then if we’re still not getting the results then fine. But in the meantime, quit whinging like a bunch of Red bitches!

While Moyes deserves lots of praise for his past results. He must also take lots of flak for the current situation. The standard of football is shocking. we cannot play 442 that is down to Moyes. So we revert to type at half time and get a goal back and now he switched again, If Hibbert is the final sub i will be fuming

It took Bill Kenwright four and a half years to give Moyes a paltry £15m!

And Moyes didn’t buy shite with it at all, Fellaini is a good player, he’s barely 21 and last season he scored some crucial goals, i.e. the equaliser against Man Utd at Goodison, and quite a few goals in the FA Cup and Premier League.

Moyes refuses to comment on the financial side incase he ends up involved in a war of words with the Board, but if he was able to say what he wanted to you’d find out the truth.

Your a half-time fan if you want Moyes out

He makes some strange decisions, such as tonight with Rodwell on the right, but it’s not all his fault.

He wanted Carrick, Parker, Ramsey, Moutinho etc etc but could only afford players whose clubs would accept ridiculous finance agreements.

Calling for his head is useless as the club won’t sack him. Get behind him and the team. If players come back from injury and suspension and the results and performances don’t improve then fair enough.

In the 7 years before him we finished in the top half twice. In the 7 years since we have finished outside the top half twice. We may not have won a trophy, but we’ve improved on the pittance the club have given him.

John Smith;

I’ll tell you right now. Even if we win 10-3, conceding three in 45 minutes against Hull isn’t good enough. Nowhere near good enough. Great, we’d have had a phenomenal half of football, but it took the prospect of personal and professional embarrassment for each Everton player to get the finger out - nothing to do with the manager whatsoever.

I made my mind up at half time after backing Moyes non-stop throughout his tenure at Everton. There’s a time where you throw your hands up and say enough is enough - i’ve reached that point.

Lee, I respect what your saying, and you most probably have supported Moyes and have now reached your limit, and as for Anthony, "get Kenwright’s hand in his pocket" I’m sorry but isn’t that the exact reason why we are in this mess??

No one has been able to do that for 10-11 years! You sound like a 15 year old kid.

No self-respecting manager would want to take Everton’s problems on their shoulders at this moment in time, so don’t think for one minute if Moyes leaves that we will end up getting a new manager within a few days.

And Anthony you also say "all the successful sides have had foreign coaches" that’s maybe because of the word "SUCCESSFUL" which we aren’t.

And maybe because clubs like Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool are backed by wealthy boards who can deliver money to the manager when he needs it. Everton can’t.

Get a grip.

A better second half from our lot but still a complete lack of genuine pace.
I have coached hundreds of 11 year olds who deliver better free kicks than Baines. Every team bar us have umpteen players who take their free kicks that cause problems for our defence. I honestly cannot see why any professional footballer finds it so hard to knock a simple ball into the penalty area.
