Whoa, not so fast

It's hard to see where the funding would come from without the Tesco super development, but DK is apparently not totally dead in the water as a destination for a football stadium. See para 22 of the Secretary of State's summary on the planning rejection.

Basically he says he has noted the objections to the development of a football stadium on the site, but does not see that they preclude the construction of a stadium in an alternative scheme which would be assessed on its own merits.

Very unlikely to happen unless someone chucks a load of money in, but still in there as a possibility.

It’s over. Whatever was in the SoS’s report para 22 is moot. The reason for the delay in decision was both parties were told there would be no appeals allowed.

Unless you think it’d be sensible to piss more money up against the wall?
