Just saw the Lawrensen's prediction for the City game.

When was the last time he predicted a Blues victory and a Liverpool defeat?

Hope he is correct.

2 Posted 16/01/2010 at 12:00:02

I'll start by apologising for going on about the Redshite but just had to borrow a phrase from the Simpsons and say a big HA HA! Rafa turns the air Blue!

That result has got my afternoon off to a great start. Here's to a good game later and three points for us. Let's keep it going from last week lads, show them all it takes more than just money to make a team!

'AVE IT!!!!!

Gerry Quinn
3 Posted 16/01/2010 at 16:57:57

Howard, Baines, Heitinga, Bilyaletdinov, Saha, Donovan, Distin, Cahill, Neville, Pienaar, Fellaini, Subs: Nash, Vaughan, Forshaw, Baxter, Mustafi, Coleman, Duffy

Joey Brown

A Win indeed! COYB!

Gerry Quinn
5 Posted 16/01/2010 at 16:58:06

That bench is unreal!

Gerry Quinn
6 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:00:23

That wasn’t my formation guys - it was copied directly from the OS!

David Moore
7 Posted 16/01/2010 at 16:59:54

Does anyone else think that the return for Distin is too soon. Also it seems Osman is injured. Lets hope Bily puts in a decent shift today. Not looking at the bench with much confidence. Hopefully we wont need it. I feel a 4-0 victory

9 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:02:16

Will be watching live on Fox here in Houston - I’m dreading the continuous "fawning" by the commentators over Tevez et al already.......

Ben Jones
10 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:03:57

Can anyone work out who’s playin centre mid with Fellaini? Hope to god it isn’t Cahill!

Justin Widdop
11 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:03:10

The bench is unreal but what can you do with an injury list of Areta, Jags, Hibbert, Gosling, Rodders, Anichebe and seems like Osman too.

Add to that Yobo and Yak away.

Still a strong first 11 and I expect 3 points.

Gerry Quinn
12 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:08:18

Andrew, lad - say what you mean!

Gerry Quinn
13 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:09:07

No Lucas Neill - nor on the bench, strange one that - has his head been turned then!!!!!!!

Dave Southon
14 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:11:15

I think DM learnt his lesson since the Arsenal humilation.

Steve Flaherty
15 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:11:26

Yobo's just done his hamstring playing for Nigeria in the African Nations Cup... looks bad... more injury misery.

David Moore
16 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:10:15

I wonder if Neill will be paraded around the ground so we can give him the warm applause he deserves

Dave Southon

Working ok currently.

David Moore
18 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:13:13

Wasn’t Yobo injured when he left for AFCON? Messus Moyes wont be very impressed with that decision. Time for a new CB. Why did we selll Neill???

Peter Killey
19 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:15:29

You think we sold Neill because we are getting Sendoros?

Dave Southon
20 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:16:26

Maybe Senderos will arrive until the Summer then Kilgallon signs.
Neill was out of contract come July and DM wasn’t prepared to offer him the duration of contract that Gala were.

Michael Kenrick
Editorial Team
21 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:18:15

"Messus Moyes"..??? I’ve heard him called a lot of names... what’s that one then?

Peter Killey
22 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:20:16

I think if w can stop tevez scoring we have a good enough team to win this, santa cruz is not all that.

David Moore
23 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:23:24

sorry michael meant to be "Messrs" Allow me the slip up, it is 4:30 am in Sydney

Jamie Crowley
24 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:27:32

Fox Sports in the States just showed our formation as 4-3-2-1.... is that correct?

Dave Southon
25 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:28:50

Peter, I would gladly swap Jo for Santa Cruz....

Andrew Oxton

atdhe.com is good with several options

Will Leaf
41 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:54:51

Good pressure

Tom Winek
42 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:51:43

Pienaar’s not having as much influence over the game as I thought he would in the middle. He’s playing Fellaini’s role but isn’t as good as him at it.

Ged Simpson
43 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:56:30

This is good so far - despite a dick of a commentator on my stream

Will Leaf
44 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:58:46

Tom Winek
46 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:01:46

We’re knocking on the door and it sounds like Tevez has a problem.

Will Leaf
47 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:03:22

Great stuff from Everton...have to convert one of these chances

Ged Simpson
48 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:03:23

I reckon Mancini said fight and they can’t now they have left Moss Side.

And how good is Donovan for a short loan? Find me a manager who could find such a deal ?

Jamie Crowley

Tom Winek
60 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:13:49

Paul O'Grady
72 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:17:41

All superlatives, this is the form of champions let alone top four. Every Blue on the pitch is doing well.

Raymond Choi

saha with a cheeky pen apparently (from bbc)

84 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:19:29

Good stuff so far... tearing them a new one. Forward movement far better form Everton, some excellent driven ground balls to feet, Pienaar’s for the penalty. Excellent stuff.

Brian Doran
85 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:27:55

Keep it tight for first 15. Playing them of the park

Ged Simpson
86 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:25:51

Andrew...try ATDHE.com

it’s off for 1/2 time but there’s been no gaps so far in 1st half. I’m on their thrd link option.

May be the broadband connection in each of our areas or computer though.

Wilson Tan
87 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:27:12

The best move of the game... Neville step-over. Wow.

David Moore
88 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:26:41

We are bossing everywhere, but need to be careful of their counter-attack, wich came close to scoring before our 2nd. The long ball is working today because Cahill is in his natural poistion and helping Saha. We are reading the gamevery well and are always first to the drop. Would like to see a bit more of Donovan, and would like Bily to convert a chance, not that he wasted any. Need 2 more for comfort

Matthew Salem
89 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:23:52

Excellent!

Kieran Kinsella
90 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:29:52

I can’t get atdhe to come up at all and veetle and iraq are down

Sean McKenna
91 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:27:46

Watching the game on ESPN, we are bang up for this. City look shit scared, have to say the big Fella has been fucking excellent!!!!! I was a big critic of him, but you’ve proved me wrong bigtime. He looks like a 30 million pound player today brilliant display. Bily playing well, Donavan very clever and inventive and Johnny and Distin looking solid. Com'on lads, go for the 3rd and 4th don’t sit back second half, COYB

Tony I'Anson
92 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:31:58

That was a cracking first half performance and I thought Felli was immense. Players look like they are enoying themselves out there and the 2-0 lead is well deserved. This reminds me of the enjoyment watching Everton during my youth. Confident play, winning the midfield battle, training ground moves coming off. I just hope we go out in the second half now and totally destroy and demoralise them. Only problem is the money men from the East will be writing the words of Felliani and Pienaar in their little black books.

Also glad to see officials with some nuts.

Anthony Crawford
93 Posted 16/01/2010 at 17:39:46

Neil Pearse
97 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:33:12

Felli utterly awesome - as good an all round midfield display as the Premier League will see from anyone all season. Absolutely world class. Moyes has Bily picking up the pace and the energy levels now and looking great. Pienaar as ever, and Cahill closer to his annoying best. Please let’s not release our grip on this!

Alejandro Castellano
98 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:36:49

Definitely can’t become complacent with this lead. Need to keep the intensity up.

Justin Widdop

Ged Simpson
115 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:49:22

I’ll fix it for you to get in the simpsons too!

Will Leaf
120 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:55:33

Man City doing better, pressuring but not really creating chances. We’re a little off the boil, but actually hanging on to the ball quite well. We look comfortable.

Jimmy...it is

Andrew McLean
126 Posted 16/01/2010 at 18:58:04

With SWP on there’s virtually no risk of Man City attempting to cross the ball in from any one other than Barry and Bellamy and so far we’re keeping them out of mischieve

Will Leaf

Coleman on for Distin (limping a bit). Coleman to RB

Andrew McLean
132 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:10:46

How much did Coleman cost again?

Will Leaf
133 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:14:38

Coleman cost about what’s in Robinho’s weekly pay packet

Richard Porter
134 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:15:02

Coleman cost around £200k, I think

Colin Ryan
135 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:15:39

150k for Seamus!!

Will Leaf
136 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:15:39

John Audsley

Will Leaf
138 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:17:27

Roberto Mancini with excellent control of the ball there!

Viv Sharma
140 Posted 16/01/2010 at 19:17:43
