Moyes not Keane anymore?

Comments (22)

For as many recent years as I care to remember, we have been linked with the un-goal shy Irishman, that was until he went to that lot across the park.

I am just curious about why we let this obvious talent leave the Premier League for an inferior standard of football, when proving the scum wrong at their arch rivals would be in both parties' interest. A class replacement for 'Brazilian' Jo for around the same wages!

I dont reckon ’Runny Egg Face Redknapp’ would’ve allowed him to come to us.

In reality, we are one of Spurs’ main rivals for 4th/5th/6th place.

In the same way, if Moyes wanted to loan out the Yak, he wouldn't be sending him to Spurs.

I get the feeling he would have chosen Celtic over us anyway.

I would certainly have taken him. I dont think ’Arry would have let him go on loan to another Premier league club though, especially one that in recent seasons has been considered a rival.

On a side note, how many "boyhood clubs" has the lad got? I remember a similar line when he began his ill fated spell accross the park.

Danny, my thoughts exactly. Didn’t he say he was a Liverpool fan? Now he said he is a Celtic fan.

See the other thread... Liverpool and Celtic allegiances are quite common in Ireland for some reason..

Franny, that’s a bit cruel. I think Harry actually fell asleep with his face on a radiator, so — you know, no laughing matter.

Keane is on wages far higher than anyone at this club, the only people happy will be the casino owners in Glasgow as he was in Leo’s Casino most nights till late in the morning on the Dock Road which is one of the reasons Benitez didnt care for him.

In light of the fact (starting to sound like Red Rafa) that we didn’t further add to our squad during the January Window, then DM must be convinced that we have sufficient bodies to cope or we are skint.

As for Appy Arry, he has got the face of a careless Bee Keeper.

Anyone else think it's fucking brilliant that Redknapp junior is starting to look like his dad??

Would have loved to see Robbie Keane in a blue shirt! Especially next week! Can't believe that Harry didn't give him a start at their place the other week either!

Kilmarnock 1 v 0 Celtic after 75 mins, Keane started the game, he is at his 8th club... that speaks volumes in itself. When he reaches his 15th club, probably by then Shamrock Rovers, it will be his lifelong dream to play for his hometown club.

If replacing Jo with Keane might have made footballing sense, it would have made no financial sense at all. As far as we know, Jo was more or less being paid by City whereas Keane’s wages would probably have caused ructions in the club. Pienaar, for one, might have been given cause to consider his position - and I don’t mean left, right or centre MF.

Calm down..

I didn’t say there were allegiances between the two... I said a lot of people in Ireland support Liverpool and Celtic...

Simply telling you the facts.

’Arry was severely injured in a traffic accident some years ago, resulting in facial injuries still seen today.
