Is it only me?

Has anyone else been having problems reaching ToffeeWeb? Admittedly, my old computer is in need of replacing. It used to be as reliable as Tim Howard but lately it is has been acting more like Ossie.

Just when I think it will deliver the goods it gets bounced all over the place. Perhaps the fault is not an Ossie one at all. Are other more mysterious things at play? It would ease my mind if others have been having problems.

Rest assured, Dick, it's not you. We've been having some server-side problems related to peak traffic times that I'd hoped would be eased by the recent changes we made to the site but they've got worse this week, not better.

I've made a few tweaks to the code in the last 24 hours, though, that I'm hoping will have helped.

If, however, you've had problems accessing the site today, please let me know. Performance seems to have been decent today, but I may have been lucky and been accessing the site when it was up and working.

Here in England too, Dick.

Clearly, it’s Kenwright’s fault.

I’ve had a nightmare all week. I usually visit and view every night (and comment when I’ve had a few). ToffeeWeb is always my first point of call when I get in from work (I’d be sacked if I accessed in work hours), but I kept getting a message in computer speak that denied me access. Sort it out Michael, Lyndon et al :) cos I cant get to Seattle hinterland to do it for you!

Thanks Lyndon, What with the upcoming derby I was starting to worry that I might have been deprived of my only means of joining in the after match relief valve.

Mike, I wouldn’t have been surprised if the old media tart had played a part.

I had trouble yesterday....

Lyndon - whomever designed the new banner did a good job. Looks a lot better, more modern, sleek.

I set up bastardized files all day long in my business for printing apparel. I know a bit about design work. You guys did well. Looks great.

Kudos.

Have to agree, the site looks and is great, but its needs to be running Saturday whilst I’m stuffing around trying to find a decent link!

Keith — www.livefootballstreams.co.uk —there is a one-off payment of £30, but it gives you loads of links for all games. I’m in China but get to watch all games even though I’m using a mac. On a PC, it gives plenty of links, also to sopcast which are usually the best.

It's not just Everton games, you can watch all other Premier League games and other leagues from around the world. It's well worth the price, especially if like me you will use it often.

I had a couple of days without being to able to link to articles but that seems to have finished now.

But a chance to say that your site is massively valuable to me living in Asia... fuck it, due to the well known lack of Everton coverage on TV you were invaluable to me when I lived in London!

Regardless of people’s personal views and politics, this is a truely magnificant site. I don’t always post comments or contribute, but I am on here daily. I think I can safely speak for all, when I say thank you for producing such a quality site.

Good work, fellas!

Lyndon, there is a an intereesting interview which you may like in the Engineering & Technology magazine the IET produces for the 23 Jan - 5 Feb issue. The article is in the "IT My way" section, and interviewed is no other than Everton FC head of ICT, Steve Fell.

Lyndon, while everybody’s giving you additional work to do, I thought I’d point out an error in your derby intro: It’s not Moyes’s 600th game in charge of Everton, it’s his 600th career game as a manager.

Why slag Ossie off at every opportunity ? We havent even played yet, He’s been played out of position for the best part of TWO SEASONS ! yet you to curse the unfairness of it all when Cahill get critisised after being asked to perform the same task for a few games ?

The problem isnt with your PC mate

It’s Hibbo’s fault.

Dave W, it is an indisputable fact that regardless of what positions they play in, Cahill will put in the hard yards for the entire game while Osman could could be totally invisible.
I am basing that on what I have seen so many times and not on wishful thinking.

I challenge you to say which of them would be most sorely missed.

Steven Barton - Are the streams offered any better than those offered by mp2p for free.

You miss the point Dick.
I’m all for criticising a player who hasn’t played well, what I can't understand is people slagging a player when we haven’t even played, especially when the person doing the slagging is somebody who thinks certain players — his personal favorites — are above critism.

I’ve watched plenty of games this season when The Tiger may has well not have been on the pitch, that’s nearly always when he’s been played out of position, but exactly the same thing could be said of Osssie over the past couple of seasons

Which one of them would be sorely missed? Well in current form we need both of them, if either one of them want to give us a repeat the wonderful goals they scored at the Emirates or Wigan, we’ll all be over the moon tonight.
