Moyes Book Cancelled?

Comments (6)

Maybe this is old news & I'm just the last to hear about it, but I recently received a mail advising of the cancellation of the David Moyes book: Manager.

"We regret to report that the release of the following item has been cancelled: David Moyes "Manager"."

I'm not too disappointed, as I'd prefer to see Moyes write books at the end of a long and successful career as Everton manager. However, I'm a bit surprised that the plug would appear to be pulled on a book that was orginally advertised for pre-order quite some time ago.

Didn't the same thing happen last year to Big Dunc's book? Wasn't the reason back then that it was a 100% unofficial biography, as opposed to an auto-biography, and he hadn't given certain permissions for the book to be published. Is it the same case for Moyes' book perhaps?

Yep, Lee I remember last year the same with Dunc's book (which I was definitely looking forward to)

Sites probably get advised something is in the works and automatically put it on their site, only to find out later that it is pulled for whatever reason. Most likely as with Dunc's it wasn't an official book and the man himself may have vetoed it/threatened to sue?

Once the lawyers get hold of it and say 'You'll get sued for that, that and that aswell', it can often get trimmed down to something unworthy of a read. He probably called Hughes a wanker in it!

Probably revealed a bit too much about a certain referee as he threatened to do after an infamous derby match if pulled up in front of the FA.

Maybe he said some nasty things about Wayne in it, and had second thoughts now that they seem to have kissed and made up.

This was pulled ages ago.
It only went up as far as the summer we signed Fellaini.
