January Sales

Comments (23)

January always seems to be quite slow for us and I don?t expect this year will be any different with regards to players coming in. Vaughan will be 'like a new signing' on his return... Probably some defenders in on loan, that sort of thing.

However, this year seems like it will be quite active outwards. What with Pienaar and Anichebe out of contract in the summer, it would be scandalous if they left for free then, so I expect they'll be on their way (even though I?d prefer Pienaar signed). Rumors of Yak to WHU are also popping their heads up again.

Is this a chance to get rid of some deadwood or simply players jumping overboard? Personally, I hope it's the former and we can freshen up the squad a bit by getting rid of some of the hangers on. Sales revenue and saved wages might even help us spend more than £1M in Summer.

The everyone is playing currently no one would be a great loss! The only ones I would keep at present Baines, Coleman & Rodwell.

James ? Why Rodwell? He's done nothing this season or we're just referring to his "potential". That same potential that has seen him contribute... what exactly?

I think Jack is a promising young player. That's it. He is, in my opinion, the most overrated player I have seen in a Blue shirt. (My first game was just over 20 years ago.)

Anyway, back on topic. I personally have given up hope on us actually signing anyone in January. Any January. If the tabloids are to be believed then we would be foolish to spurn the chance to sign Kranjcar. Maybe get Landon on loan... I don't think Donavon is superb but at least he might freshen things up.

Apart from those two, I can't see which established "name" players we could possibly get. No money, no European football on the horizon...

We should definitely fuck "Big", crocked, clumsy, clueless Vic off. Who the fuck is he to turn down a contract when he has done fuck all in his entire career bar a handful of pretty good games? Get whatever we can for him i say!!

Definitely quite a few who might go in January. Pienaar likely to go, would get rid of Anichebe too given his contract attitude. Reckon Yak might well have fallen out with Moyes in which case he'll be on his way, I'd say get rid of one or both of Heitinga/Bily too.

At least Moyes recognises the need for strikers. Also hoping for Donovan, and Krancjar possibly in exchange for Pienaar. Striker has to be the priority though.

Latest rumour is DM has realised he has to sell Pienaar to buy a striker to save our season. Bit fucking late as the season started in August and who is going to pay decent money for a player they can have for fuck all a few months down the road?

I'd sell Saha (useless), Heitinga (doesn't want to be here and isnt a midfielder so even if he did he's wasted), Bily (if you won't play him sell him), Anichebe (greedy fat cunt), would only consider selling Yakubu if we could get closer to 5/6m and had a replacement lined up.

None of its going to happen though, this is the new Everton way - disappointment year after year

Problem is lads, if we DO go all drastic and get rid of the attacking dead wood this January, how much money are we realistically gonna recieve for them? some of you need to wake up and smell the coffee (£5-6 million for Yakubu?! in what Universe?)

Here is what I think we can hope to recoup in a clear-out

Saha £200,000 to the bloody Quatari league or somewhere
Anichebe £300,000
Yakubu £1.5 million
Bily £5 million
Pienaar £500,000

I don't believe we will sell Bily. so that gives us a whopping £2.5 million to splash out on the world-class striker who can fire us into Europe. good luck Davey Boy.

Sell the players who will be out of contract in the summer and if we get a silly money offer for Rodwell then let him go. Until we get new money into the club we have to sell home grown players or develop bargain buys from the basement. Just bring in players with some pace, some guile, some ball control skills who can pass to one of their own team....

Sure Heitingar will be sold while his stock is still relatively high post World Cup. His bike and flag are already waiting for him at the gates. £7.5 million for him maybe? Another 6 months of bench warming could see that figure drop much further. Bily is another one whose value must be falling every week. Back to Russia for him I think. Cut your losses Davey. £5 million.

There's more than ten million for the kitty. Then, If we do our business suitably late in the window, we could miss out on all potential replacements and hope the fans don't wonder where that money went come the summer! Eh Bill?!

Jimmy # 11,Youre right. But thats the type of situation Moyes will cry about, but its one he's created by being useless on the business front, and by falling out with players.

Me thinks we will sell 3 players and.. surprise not sign anyone because 'we won't pay those inflated Jan prices!' lol

I wouldn't mind us going for Dempsey. He is aggressive, wins balls, can be creative and gets goals. Furthermore, he can play up front of in mid.

Put him in and make it a requirement for us to play.. gasp 2 strikers.. then maybe we can win.

As good as Pienaar has played I would still like us to get some money for him we sure as hell need it.

Anichebe can jog on if he doesn't want his contract.

Heitinga is undoubtedly a good center back but I see no desire in his play or his actions, get rid.

Bily I would like to see stay I think he could have a lot more to offer if he played centrally but I don't know where his chance is going to come from.

These would be the only people most likely to make any moves in January.

Jimmy, if DM had balls and BK wasn't such a useless cunt - sadly DM doesn't and BK will never be useful whilst he draws breath, they'd realise West Ham are shitting themselves for the drop and need to buy goals come January and will be interested in Yakubu, if they have money to burn then we put a six million price tag on Yakubu take it or leave it. The seller can also demand the price as they know the buyer is desperate to try to stay in the EPL. Shame as they don't have that level of acumen and he could well go for a bargain price but if you don't go for it you'll never know.

Doddy, BK puts Gillian McKeith to shame and is a cancer at Everton, how many more years of lies and failure before he kills the club? He already tried by taking it to Kirkby and luckily failed. As far as DM is concerned, his point blank refusal to change his game plan after nearly 9 years has been found out. I've asked you before Richard and will ask you again - when does the league start? Why is it every season you pen tripe like wait until then take your pick of September, October, November, December and even January as the month we will save our season.

As a paying customer, and not sycophant for these two clowns, I'd like some value for my hard earned. A disgrace that you still can't see the obvious staring you in the face.

Richard (18) our problem has been people like you who blindly support BK and Moyes and for what exactly?

FA Cup Final (luckily beating the Manc reserves who didn't want to be there), an embarrassing and expensive brief flirt with Europe. We haven't actually won anything in this time get real will you.

We reached the glass ceiling when we managed top half finishes due to other Clubs falling off the wagon towards the end of seasons but now others have strengthened we are not in the same league as Tottenham, City, Redshite etc ? not to mention the Mancs, Chelski, Arsenal ? and we never will be with these two clowns.

I have said for years Moyes should go and was laughed at as the lunatics in our asylum told me he was one of the best Managers in the League. We all know he is Walter Smith in disguise.

sell Yak, Anichebe, and Pienaar (if we can get Krancjar as part of deal).

In: Krancjar and a hot-shot in-form stiker). That would cost about what? £6 million nett. We can only hope.

Donovan loan if he wants it; I'd sell Bily to fund a long-term deal.
