Dave Prentice equals verbal diarrhoea

Comments (20)

Anyone else seen that complete load of shite served up by the self-styled "man on the inside of Merseyside football" in tonight Echo. if you haven't, here it is;

I don't think i've ever seen such a pathetic defence of the disasterous Kenwright regime. Prentice is a man who spent the last 2 years of the Hicks and Gillett reign slagging them off at every opportunity and they were owners of a club he doesn't even support, yet he won't say a fucking word against a chairman which is destroying a club he claims to be a fan of.

Prentice said Kenwright was "the right type of owner because he's a fan", FFS, words fail me! If that's the only credentials required to run this club then every blue in this City is up to the job.

Instead of pointing to Kenwright's achievements, because the are none, Prentice can only point to the Hicks and Gillett regime as some kind of success for our useless chairman. Pathetic.

Kenwright's cronies at the Echo would probably defend him if he clung on to his trainset all the way to League Two. Someone please put the once respected Prentice out to graze.

I can never work out between the OS and the Echo which is Pravda and which is Isvetia. Truth and News or is it news and truth.

Anyway there is no news in the 'truth' and no truth in the 'news'

Anyway, to me, unless there is some sort of Revolution we will just evolve into a slow motion Leeds.

Prentice doesn't seem to want to rock the boat at Goodison. You don't bite the hand that feeds you, and he covers more EFC stuff than LFC. So he's got a nice, cosy relationship with Moyes and Kenwright, watches all the games at Goodison and tries not to upset anybody.
I think he made a valid point at the end though, about recruiting a firm to actively go out and get us a buyer. I think he could have gone a lot further though, we need to press Kenwright to set a value. Whatever that may be, let's set a price and get the ball rolling.

Ste, you do know, don't you, that not everyone will have the same opinion as you? And that they're entitled to not have the same opinion as you? And that, even if they're entirely wrong, it's still okay for them to have a different opinion to you? And that, by linking to an article with a different opinion to you, you are driving traffic to that site and that journalist's work, which will most likely result in a pat on the back for Dave Prentice and a rise in salary at some point down the line.

#4 Declan - you make a good point.

The Echo is a red rag that I wouldn't waste my hard-earned cash on personally.

The quality of writing on TW - especially the opinion / longer articles - is far higher than the Echo, the style of which is melo-dramatic, hyped, recycled, up-itself cack.

Prentice is on very shaky legal grounds, insinuating that Bill is "beating off " billionaires.

For me the best part of Prentice's article is this:

"Kenwright?s willingness to listen to offers for Everton has been widely advertised."

By whom, I ask thee? Well, by none other than Kenwright himself! Great stuff!

I wonder if dozy Dave still believed the club was still up for sale when Kenwright and his equally useless cronies on the board signed an exclusivity agreement with Tesco and Knowlsley council in 2007 saying that they wasn't looking to "sell or dilute their shares"?

Typical Echo really, they will not pick on BK because he is no threat to them across the park and the status quo of Echo, City Council and LFC lovefest.
This is why PJ was attacked and to a lesser degree Gregg, both had and put money in, both had visions, consequently both of them were a threat to the lovefest above, hence Echo campaigns against them. Wake up.

The article's fairly innocuous really. Just a bit of filler with not much new to say. No need for conspiracy theories on this one.
